“Youth is the attic chest where every lesson lies...”

Some of my earliest and fondest memories are wrapped in the scent of flowers and the touch of soil, learning from my grandma. We spent countless hours together, shopping for unique colors of Ge**er Daisies, pollinating Snapdragons, and deadheading flowers in the garden.

Each new bud tells a story of passion, perseverance, and the invaluable lessons I learned from Grandma (Goosie). Every flower I grow carries a piece of her wisdom and love.

This post features 3 unique dahlias: a waterlily style called “Apricot Desire,” the larger bloom “Peaches N’ Cream, and a dahlia breed by “KA’s Mocha Katie.”

Bien faire et laisser dire…

This year I’m growing these for fun. Super delicate, like little peonies, ranunculus flowers are a stand out. I’ve had to look at my garden space and maximize. A lot of these got the cut last year, but glad I planted a few (okay 60…).

This is a dahlia tuber. I’ve been experimenting with a cutting bed this year, to propagate varieties I like. I “pulled” the cutting from this tuber and just think it’s cool how the water formed.

🌍🌸 Happy World Environment Day! 🌸🌍

We're celebrating Mother Nature today and every day! 🌿💚 As a flower lover, we understand the importance of preserving our beautiful planet, and we're committed to doing our part. 🌺🌱

Did you know that flowers play a crucial role in our ecosystem? They not only add vibrant colors to our lives but also provide food and shelter for various pollinators. 🐝🦋 Let's all join hands and create a sustainable future together!

Here are a few ways you can make a positive impact on our environment:
1️⃣ Choose locally grown flowers: By supporting local flower growers, you reduce carbon emissions from transportation and promote local economies.
2️⃣ Embrace eco-friendly practices: Opt for organic fertilizers and pesticides that are gentle on the environment. Plus, consider using biodegradable and sustainable floral wrapping.
3️⃣ Recycle and upcycle: Give your beautiful blooms a second life! Once your flowers have wilted, compost them to enrich the soil or get creative with dried flower arrangements.
4️⃣ Spread the green love: Share your love for nature with friends and family. Encourage them to plant more flowers, trees, and herbs to create a healthier planet.

Remember, every small action counts, and together we can make a big difference! 🌍🌸 Let's bloom responsibly and cherish the beauty around us.
