The story behind The Camp Chapel

Helen's Dad was visiting and went for a walk. As he was walking he found this fireplace. Helen had no idea it was there. She knew she wanted to do something with it, but not sure what.

Here is where a special bride comes. Her name is Katie. She was the first ever bride to book Brookledge and she had mentioned wanting to get married in the woods. Helen showed her the fireplace and she loved it and the rest was history.

The fireplace now had a purpose and went from a forgotten piece of history to a place surrounded by love!

The Brookledge sign has become a favorite among guests but do you know the story behind it?

In 2021 I noticed broken pieces of wood with red letters on the ground and cables in the trees. One day doing a little research online, I came across a picture of the original Camp Brookledge sign. Of course, I needed to bring it back!

With the help of Dave Winney from Mill Creek Lumber and Greg for Saratoga Sand and Stone a new sign was made and installed.

The sign is now a favorite spot for couples and guests. Come take a visit and book your winter stay. Don't forget to get your Brookledge sign picture while you are here. 😀
