In honor of peony season, here is a fun peony fact.

The Sarah Bernhardt Peony (pictured above)is by far one of the most popular and well-known peony varieties. This particular peony was given its name in 1906 to honor famous French stage actress Sarah Bernhardt. She is said to be one of the most famous women in French history (1844-1923), gaining popularity for her acting and was the first female to act in motion pictures!
