Life of a Farmer's Daughter involves riding cows, (with a little from your Dad) carrying your favorite cat around and doing a some PR for the farm. She was just adorable!

We take all sorts of photos. Commercial, portraits, H.S.seniors, real estate, small weddings and Families. Meet the McGraths of Worcester, NY. They live and work on an active farm. We were there to take just 5 Family photos for marketing purposes. Well that didn't happen! They ended with just over 140 finished photos. This family was so cute, we couldn't help ourselves. Children running in the fields and paths, riding a cow, climbing tall fence posts, sitting in the back of the car with some of their products, etc. The list just went on and on. They were the best! Thanks for allowing us to photograph your wonderful family. I will share more photos in my next post.

It's that time of year for College senior photos. How cute is Julia? Lance and I met her the day of her photoshoot and she was such a natural in front of the camera. I have one requirement when photographing- don't aim the bottle at my camera. It was close, but the champagne did not reach the lens! We got a great photo though. Some days you just got to roll with it. When you least expect it, the truth comes out. I was concentrating so much on getting a great image of the adults that I forgot to see what the kids were doing. I widened my lens and behold, here is what they really thought of their Mom and Dad kissing and hugging. These true images are often my favorites. They show humor and real life. When I take your family's photos, you can rest assure you will get the pretty posed ones but there will also be the "Unexpected:"

My family had a photo shoot a week ago and just received the pictures. Suffice to say photos are outstanding! In addition to being very pleased with the results, our coordination with Jacalyn was very smooth: clear phone and email discussions on what to expect, tips on what to wear, etc. The pictures were done in my home and it was clear the moment she and partner Lance walked in the door that I had made a good choice - they are a very warm, down to earth, organized, confident, and professional team that know how to cajole a large group to sit still and smile for the camera. I highly recommend!

I can't wait for the Spring weather to return. It's that time of year when the grass gets greener and the temperatures get warmer. Perfect for Family photo shoots. I get to meet such interesting people and their children. I have always said " People come to me as clients and leave as Friends" and this is so true. This lovely family came all the way from Maryland and decided to have their photos taken while visiting Mom and Dad. The two boys were such fun. Look at their wonderful smiles!
