My passion for flowers started when I was a little girl. I would spend my days picking flowers from the side of my rural CT road, and skip home to create arrangements for my mother. Her peony bushes, roses on the arbor, rhododendron, zinnias, dahlias, daisies and lily of the valley would be picked clean. I sometimes even made homemade "perfume" out of the petals! Fast forward to 2005, when my brother and his fiance were getting married. It was a small ceremony on a lake in Louisiana. When I found out that my brother’s fiance did not have a bouquet, I immediately drove into town, grabbed a bunch of flowers and supplies, and crafted a bridal bouquet in the hotel room. That simple bouquet sparked the realization that I needed to do more! Soon after, my faithful friends asked me to create floral designs for their showers, banquets and weddings. I learned by doing, and my hobby became something bigger. Before I knew it, I wasn’t just designing for friends and friends-of-friends; instead, I was stepping foot into something I only, one day, dreamed of doing! Since then, I have been so fortunate to have designed arrangements for countless weddings and many other events. Each type of flower - its color, texture, shape - inspires me each time I work with it. I especially enjoy working with clients to be able to create the vision they dream of. My clients invigorate me with their ideas and different styles!
From wild and bohemian, to structured and traditional, I’ve got you covered :)
In addition to fresh flowers, I have also embarked on a home-decor and class teaching journey. Creating everlasting pieces out of sola wood, faux, and dried flowers for people to display in their homes has been so much fun! Teaching classes on designing fresh floral arrangements and home decor pieces has added and incredible social element to this floral design adventure!
