The Magic of Middletown presented by Holiday on Main Street

TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT!

Join us this evening for our decorated vehicle parade through downtown Middletown! (this is a rain or shine event!!!)

Decorate your car, van, truck, flatbed, company vehicle, sleigh, whatever you have! Don’t forget, the more decorations, the better! (This is a great FREE way to advertise your business!!!) Participating vehicles will register and lineup at Middletown High School and will parade through downtown Middletown, led by Santa, to view the fabulous decorations on display.

Registration: 4:30-6:30 p.m. @ Middletown High School
Parade kicks off at 7:00 p.m. SHARP!
Bring an unwrapped toy to benefit the Middletown Police Department’s Toy Drive.
$5 registration fee per vehicle.

This year, enjoy a little friendly competition for the most festive vehicles! Mayor Ben Florsheim, Jingles the Gnome, and Santa will select their favorite vehicles in the parade! Judging will take place at 6:45 p.m.

Looking to catch the parade as it dashes by? Feel free to set up along the route and wave as the cars dash by!

We had an incredible final Saturday of events in downtown Middletown!

A special thank you to Officer Jay Bodell and K-9 Bear from the Middletown Police Department -Connecticut for reading to families during our Holiday Story Time, Middletown Rotary Club for serving up popcorn and pretzels, Venu Flower Collective for volunteering and helping to spread some holiday cheer, Middletown CT Rec for helping out in our Holiday Craft Village, the Hills Family for the horse & wagon rides, and many more!

We would like to give a HUGE thank you to the Free Center & Middlesex United Way for coordinating our Holiday's Around the World Celebrations!!!!!

Two exciting activities taking place during this Saturday's events

From 10:30 - 11:00 a.m. - Enjoy a holiday story time at Wesleyan RJ Julia Bookstore (413 Main Street) with Middletown Police Department -Connecticut Chief Erik Costa!

Then from11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. - Stop by the Holiday Craft Village at 428 Main Street to make a Christmas ornament for your tree, or a holiday themed craft! Santa's little helpers will be on hand to help with ideas and more!

We had a great day this past Saturday in downtown Middletown!

Attendees enjoyed a holiday story time with Middletown's New Fire Chief David Albert and the Grinch at Wesleyan RJ Julia Bookstore, free pictures with Santa and Horse & Wagon Rides, doing holiday crafts at our Craft Village with our friends from the Middletown CT Rec, and of course tons of shopping at our Holiday Pop-up Vendor Fair and the Church of the Holy Trinity's Annual Craft Fair!

We still have one more Saturday of events!!! Join us on Saturday, December 14 in downtown Middletown for our Holidays Around the World Day featuring a festive journey at our Holidays Around the World exhibit. Explore the rich traditions, vibrant celebrations, and unique customs from cultures across the globe. From dazzling holiday displays to interactive music and exhibits, it's a fun and educational experience for all ages. Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity to celebrate the season in a truly global way! A HUGE thank you to our friends at the Free Center and Middlesex United Way for making this event possible!

ATTENTION: PARKING WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE IN THE KID CITY PARKING LOT THIS SATURDAY, DECEMBER 7 DURING THE EVENT.

Attendees should plan on parking in the Russell Library Lot, Melilli Plaza, or Middlesex Corporate Garage on levels 3 or higher. Parking will also be available on Main Street DURING THE EVENT.

Jump on and off the holiday trolley while you shop, dine, and explore downtown Middletown! The trolley, provided by River Valley Transit will be making stops at all city parking lots! Trolley runs Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. from November 30-December 29.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who joined us on Friday Night for our annual Tree Lighting Ceremony!

During this great evening, we welcomed our largest crowd yet to join in our carol sing featuring local students, three tree lightings, and holiday cheer throughout downtown!

This event would not be possible without the support of the City of Middletown, Connecticut Government and Pratt & Whitney along with all of our incredible sponsors, City of Middletown Arts & Culture Office, Downtown Middletown, CT, Middletown Police Department -Connecticut, Kiwanis Club of MIddletown, CT, Harvest Woods Audio LLC, Everett Electric, and of course our AMAZING committee led by chairman Al Santostefano!
