Hello. It's been a while since I have been on here posting. Last week made 11 years I created Memorable Events by Peggy. I came to the decision many months ago to retire the business due to my health and other factors. Covid didn't help either. I have been dreading making the announcement. My website is no longer active. My page will remain on. I do plan to pop on every once in a while with ideas, free advice, vendor recommendations and whatever else I would like to share.
If you know of someone who needs some help with wedding questions, I'm happy to help with answers.

Today marks 10 years ago when I applied for my business license. Time certainly flies by. Thank you to all of my clients who trusted me with their event. I have lots of fond memories, laughs and happy tears. Thank you to the vendors who I have had the pleasure of working with these past 10 years. We certainly had a blast working together. And, to my Assistants. I could not have done this without you. Michelle Ashby, Kara Croft, Rebecca McCormac and Paul McCormac, Lisa Savage, Sherry Swayze (mom) - Thank you all so much. To my wonderful husband for his support and encouragement. Also, his patience while the house was full of flowers, centerpiece design supplies, and time away from home. Love you David Burgess! 😊

I would like to give a shout out to Eco Centric Salon and Spa for taking care of me on my daughter's wedding day. I felt pampered, pretty and confident when I left. My hair was done by Sara and my makeup was done by Jessica.

Cleaning out and re-organizing. Wedding Decor: centerpiece mirrors (12", 16", 18", 20"), glass lanterns, assorted crystals/gem stones, vases of all colors and sizes, candy station jars, votive holders, lights, burlap, wine and champagne glasses, etc. Household Items as well.

Yesterday was the big day. Everything turned out very well. I would like to thank my two assistants, Michelle and Caroline, for all of their hard work. You ladies were awesome. Also, thank you to the following vendors for making Rebecca and Paul's day extra special:

St. Joseph's Parish, it was good to have everyone present for the ceremony and good to be back in church
Odessa Memorial Fire Hall, wonderful venue and very accommodating for setting up for the reception
Sherm's Catering, food was delicious
The Limo Exchange, stupendous service, quality limousines - stretch SUV limo and the stretch limo
D & J DJ Services, the floor was definitely hopping
Kristina Ruggerio for the lovely hair and beautiful makeup
Nick Wallace Photography, for capturing all of the photos they wanted and for capturing all of photos from the church and reception
Duck Donuts for the tasty Donuts
Memorable Events by Peggy took care of all of the planning and coordination, as well as the flowers, centerpiece design, church and venue set up and breakdown, design and creation of signs, advice cards, sanitizer bottles, thank you cards and the donut wall

I had the best day yesterday prepping for the wedding and hanging out with the bride and my mom. 3 weeks until the wedding. Getting more and more excited!! Rebecca Kennedy and Sherry Swayze
You can save yourself money by printing, making your own favors. As well as recycling lanterns used from a previous event. (The lanterns were used for my daughter's college graduation party and now being used for the wedding.) We are saving over $200 by re-purposing them. We used an off-white color with added primer to help cover the bright colors.

As some of you may know, I am helping my daughter with the planning of her wedding. So far, I have been handling the mom / planner roles pretty well.

My husband and I just celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary. He surprised me with a Date Nite dinner from Sherm's Catering. It was so delicious. I love their food. If you would like to surprise your loved one with a Date Nite dinner, I highly recommend them. You won't be disappointed.
