It was great to have a conversation last week with Debra Prinzing about the changes going on at our greenhouse. Debra started the Slow Flowers Society many years ago promoting the use of sustainable locally grown flowers. It was one of the first resources we used when we began our cut flower journey. If you are growing cut flowers or just love the idea of local flowers, you should definitely listen to her podcasts and check out all her great resources. She has written many books and we are even featured in her book “Where we Bloom”

We have harvested the last of the blooms today. Don’t worry though, we have 1000’s ready to bloom again soon. Thank you all for supporting us and buying locally grown flowers. When we switched over to growing cut flowers we didn’t know what the responses would be. A little nerve racking for sure. We thank each and everyone one of you who has come along for the ride.

We are working on plans to make a more customer friendly shopping experience and can’t wait to share it with you soon. With more availability and longer shopping hours, we will be working hard to meet all your flower needs- whether a beautiful bouquet or fresh stems for the DYI designers .

The shop will be closed after December 20 for a few weeks off and will reopen mid-January for online orders. We have every bed full of flowers and are excited for all to come in 2025!

As we held our last class this weekend, we are excited to turn the space over to Shannan .mi to turn this space into an amazing event venue. Some of the changes have begun with many more in store over the winter.

So what will Creekside be doing? Sue, Kelly and Kim will still be pumping out the cut flowers for wholesale clients and retail through our online store and added store hours this spring. Putting the event space into someone else’s hands, frees up time for the growth me are experiencing in the cut flower end of business.

So if you are looking for an organic, lush, green space using locally grown flowers, message Shannan and she would love to discuss it further. Openings are now being booked for Spring 2025 and beyond. Follow along to see all the changes taking place.

Thank you to all who came out and made our open house and workshops a success today!!! It is always so fun to see the creativity that can come alive in the holiday season.

Our next open house will be Saturday, December 7 from 10 to 3 where we will once again host wreath and porch pot workshops, tickets are still available for those online through our website.

As for the rest of the weekend, we’ve restocked our front porch self-serve shop with fresh floral arrangements, winter porch pots, wreaths, holiday decor, and all the supplies to make your own. Free to stop by anytime. we’ve left the lights on for you.

Putting the final touches on for our Holiday Open House this Saturday 10-3.
We have fresh greens, garland by the foot, wreaths, magnolia, winterberry, birch and so much more. Bring the kids to write a letter for Santa and even some treats!

Need a hostess gift for Thanksgiving? Our Amaryllis are in multiple full bud for your friends and family to enjoy all winter. We only grow florist grade Amaryllis that will produce 5+ blossoms throughout the winter

Our indoor retail shop is closed right now, but you can order online anytime and schedule a pick up for fresh evergreens or florals.
