Ballet Folklórico de México es un conjunto de ballet folclórico mexicano en la Ciudad de México. Durante seis décadas ha presentado danzas con trajes que reflejan la cultura tradicional de México. El conjunto ha aparecido bajo el nombre de Ballet Folklórico de México de Amalia Hernández.
Reconocida internacionalmente por sus presentaciones de danza tradicional mexicana, ¡esta compañía mundialmente famosa regresa a Midland con un espectáculo que toda la familia puede disfrutar!
Experimente los favoritos del público llenos de energía como la Charreada, también conocida como la “danza de la cuerda”, y la Danza del Venado, inspirada en los ritos de caza del pueblo yaqui. La compañía también trae coreografías actualizadas para las piezas Fiesta en Jalisco, Danza del Venado y más.

Alyssa Teijeiro-Ficht
Flamenco Dance Instructor

With over 17 years of experience in flamenco dance, Alyssa Teijeiro-Ficht is a passionate and highly skilled instructor dedicated to preserving and promoting the art of Spanish dance. Alyssa’s deep expertise is the result of extensive training, including 12 years with the prestigious Ensemble Español Spanish Dance Theater, and a rich educational background from the Chicago High School for the Performing Arts, where she majored in dance.

Her dance journey also took her to Madrid, Spain, where she trained with some of the most renowned flamenco masters, deepening her understanding of both the technique and cultural significance of the dance form. Alyssa's devotion to flamenco led her to establish her own company, La Fuerza Flamenca, through the University of Illinois, a platform for creating and sharing her love of flamenco with the next generation of dancers.

As a dedicated instructor, Alyssa blends her technical expertise with her passion for flamenco’s rich history and cultural expression. She brings both artistry and discipline into her teaching, guiding students of all levels to not only master the steps but also to embody the emotional depth of flamenco. Alyssa continues to inspire and elevate the flamenco community through her performances, choreography, and educational efforts.

Introducing our new Mariachi Director...
Indra Joanne Aguirre Sankar...
is a versatile Colombian violinist and music educator with extensive experience in classical and alternative music genres, including mariachi, charanga, and Colombian traditional rhythms. She is currently pursuing a Master's in Music Performance at West Texas A&M University, complementing her Bachelor's degree in Musical Arts with an emphasis on violin performance from the District University of Bogotá.

Indra has performed at prestigious venues and festivals worldwide, such as the Cartagena International Music Festival and the Aruba Symphony Festival and has worked with distinguished orchestras like the Bogotá Philharmonic and Amarillo Symphony. An accomplished teacher, she has directed music programs for institutions like CAFAM's "Tocar y Luchar" initiative and the Amarillo Symphony Youth Orchestra. Fluent in Spanish and English, Indra is passionate about fostering cultural exchange and inspiring young musicians through her leadership and artistry.
