The continued love and sense of community we receive from being a member of is so inspiring and gratifying!

This year we got to work exclusively with to help design and execute the launch party . Being able to help gather local businesses and community members, who are the heart and soul of our city, to celebrate entrepreneurial culture is a high that we will ride for at least a few more weeks…. She is the queen of our operations. She graduated from Hardin Simmons University with a ministry and psych degree and also has a Masters from Angelo State University in Higher Education. She came to us from Midland College, and WE are the lucky ones! She is hardworking, kind, and the best supporter we could ever ask for. She loves her dogs, Halloween, and her sweet hubby Zach!⭐️🦮🎃

The introduction’s continue!!💕🇺🇸👏🏻

This is Miguel Robledo. Yes, Miguel still works for Velvet Mesquite part time as he is our Development Manager and Senior Events Manager. Miguel has worked for Velvet Mesquite since April of 2021.

He is a born & raised Midlander but moved to Katy, Texas back in November of 2020. Miguel is currently working full-time at Action Behavior Centers as a Registered Behavior Technician practicing ABA Therapy with kids on the autism spectrum. He is also pursuing a Bachelors degree in Social Work and plans on continuing to advocate for children’s grief/mental health and ensure all kids receive quality support, including those who have been diagnosed with ASD. Miguel also volunteers as a Grief Group Facilitator with Actively Moving Forward, a HealGrief® program providing a social network for all grieving adults.

When Miguel is not working, you can find him traveling with his partner of 6 year and hoping to find new enamel pins to add to his collection or at a plant shop searching for new plants to bring home.

Hi, everyone!👋🏻 It’s been awhile since we have done an introduction post and there are quite a few new faces on here!

This is Anna McGowan. She is the Junior Events Manager and is learning all of the pro-tips on how to event plan.
She is a born & raised Midlander and went to Texas Tech University where she received her undergraduate and graduate degree in Public Relations.
You will find her cracking jokes, singing (all the time), and playing with her golden girl, Reese, who is all one of our all-star shop dogs! We love her to death… even though she reminds us of Jack Black.
