Ashley Nostalgia, an Old Time Photo and Costume Company, is looking for outgoing, energetic, theatrically –minded individuals for immediate openings at both Dragon's Lair Olde Tyme Photos and Jester Portraits, inside the Texas Renaissance Festival, for the entirety of the festival run (Oct 8-Nov 27, Sat and Sun only, plus Friday Nov 25).

Those with positive attitudes who are eager to learn and enjoy people will excel; photography experience is NOT necessary.

We are currently hiring for two studios there at the faire. For both, you must be available for all the Saturdays and Sundays during the festival, and we are open from just before cannon (about 9) until after close (around 8). There is some flexibility in the times we can assign you, though. We offer a bonus of $0.50/hour for all hours you worked for the season, paid at the end of the festival, if you work all scheduled days.

At Jester Portraits, which is at the front gate, we dress employees as court jesters (costume provided) and issue them a camera and a stack of cards. Essentially, you take photos of all guests as they enter the park, hand them a card that they use to view and purchase the photos with, and help steer them to the booth as they're leaving to see and purchase their photos. Jesters start at $12/hour and get a commission as well for each photo sold.

At Dragon's Lair Olde Tyme Photo, we dress guests in our own period costumes and take their photos on various sets (pirate ship, throne room, dragon, etc). Employees usually work in one section, either helping costume the guests, taking the photos, and proofing/printing/selling the photos. Olde Tyme employees also start at $12/hour, but get tip sharing and routinely the tips add up to make it more like $17-20 per hour. There is room for advancement.

Many of our employees return year after year, so it's a great environment to work in, and we do our best to take good care of our people during the faire!

Ashley Nostalgia is currently hiring front gate photographers (no experience necessary) and old time photo studio staff for the Scarborough Renaissance Festival (8 weekends, beginning Saturday April 9, plus Memorial Day Monday). Front gate photographers dress as court jesters and take photos of all guests coming into the festival, and then hand out a matching card that customers can use to order prints of their photo upon exiting the festival. Hours are open to close (around 930 to 730) Sat and Sun only. Jesters receive $12.00/hour base pay, with a sizeable commission bonus for all photos that sell, plus a retroactive bonus for those who work all Saturdays and Sundays in the festival. Uniform and camera are provided. You must be available to work from open to close on Saturdays and Sundays during the festival. Managerial positions are also available for the right candidates!

Ashley Nostalgia, an old time photo and costume company, is seeking a team member for our old time studio at Texas Renaissance Festival. The festival runs from now until November 7, Saturdays and Sundays only.

At our Old Time photo studio, we provide guests Medieval and Fantasy themed costumes, dress and pose them, and take and sell their portraits. Currently, we have need for a costuming assistant.

No previous photography or costuming experience is required- we will train you on the job. Your duties will include assisting customers with costumes and props, securing their personal belongings, and accompanying them to the photo set.

We are open approximately 9 am to 8 pm Saturdays and Sundays. Pay is $12/hour plus tip sharing (tips average over $3.50 extra per hour on average so far this year!), and an additional bonus for working with us for all open days remaining at the fair. We also provide a homecooked dinner for our employees on Saturday nights.

Ashley Nostalgia is currently hiring front gate photographers (no experience necessary) and old time photo studio staff for the upcoming Texas Renaissance Festival (9 weekends, beginning October 9). Front gate photographers dress as court jesters and take photos of all guests coming into the festival. Old time studio staff dress people in period costume and photograph them.

Both positions start at $11/hour base pay, with a sizeable commission bonus for front gate photographers and performance bonuses and tips for old time staff, plus a retroactive bonus for those who work the entire 9 week festival.

You must be available to work from open to close on Saturdays and Sundays during the festival. Camping in our studio is provided for those interested, and staff share a company-provided dinner most Saturdays after close.

Duties include balancing multiple bank accounts, reconciling bank statements, invoices, and sales receipts, generating basic financial reports, and working alongside the company president.
