Pheasant shooting isn't just for hunters in the mid-west! Throughout the hunting season, Dorchester organizes Continental Pheasant Shoots, an activity that offers high volume shooting that is perfect for a corporate outing or entertaining multiple guests. Here's How It Works:
During a pheasant hunt, participants (in pairs) occupy one of 12 stations located in a circle approximately 150 yards from a 60-foot tower. The stations are situated approximately 50-60 yards apart. The shooting round begins when a signal is given from the tower. All guns are to remain unloaded until the signal is given. Once the pheasants for that shooting round have been released, and the downed birds are retrieved, another signal will be given to end the shooting round. Hunters unload their guns, and rotate clockwise to the next shooting station; no shooting is allowed while rotating stations. Once each pair of hunters has arrived at the next station, another signal is given and the next shooting round will begin. The shoot continues in this manner until each pair of hunters has visited all stations. Continental Pheasant Shoot Packages:

! The Creation of Dorchester
Dorchester was founded in 1999 through the love of a father and son. Together they created a business from their passions of hunting, fishing and sharing fellowship with many friends and colleagues. It began on a small piece of property located at the center of what used to be an old colonial town named Dorchester. Nestled on the banks of Horsecreek, miles from their homes and deep within the woods where they had grown up, Dorchester was the perfect location to begin a members only hunting club; a getaway for the many executives and exclusive gentleman of their business lives, an opportunity to share nature and the true meaning of traditions with many fathers and sons to come. Ten years later Charlie & Chuck Gaskin are still in love with hunting and fishing, hospitality and fellowship. Dorchester's crown jewel is 5000 acres of prime hunting habitat encompassing their 10,000 sq foot lodge built in 2008. Dorchester is home to many new traditions and events. Quail hunting was and is still the main focus of what Dorchester has to offer. However, today you may come shoot sporting clays, saltwater or freshwater fish, host a wedding or corporate retreat, utilize the boardroom and wrap up the visit with an overnight stay in one of 30 planned private lots and cottages surrounding the Dorchester Lodge. No longer is it a men's only club, today you may bring your friends, colleagues or family and children for the day or take advantage of the many lodging opportunities Dorchester has to offer both steps from the lodge and quail fields or a short few miles drive to a cottage on the coast. Perhaps you will fall in love with Dorchester the way Chuck & Charlie did and choose to purchase a lot near the Dorchester Lodge, build a cottage and begin many vast sporting traditions of your own. Located just 30 Minutes south of Savannah Georgia, the Dorchester Team looks forward to meeting you and helping to create memories that will last a lifetime for you, your family, friends and colleges. Please do not hesitate to contact our sales and operations office. It is our pleasure to answer your questions in regards to Dorchester and its many offerings
