Just a friendly reminder...your date IS NOT SAVED if you haven't signed a contract and paid the non-refundable deposit. We love our clients but we must have a signed contract and non-refundable deposit to lock in your special event.
That includes - anniversaries, birthdays, retirement and any other celebration.
All of your vendors, such as photographers, co-ordinator, catering, DJ, hair/makeup should require the same. Please don't assume you have booked them - just through conversation. If a vendor doesn't ask you to sign a contract, you have no recorse if they back out on you at the last minute.
GOOD vendors with a reputable business should have a contract and liability insurance. Ask for both when you are working with them. Always get a black and white copy of your agreement to refer to!
They should also have backup staff to fill in if they get sick or have an accident. Question them prior to signing a commitment. *Do you have liability insurance? *Do you have a signable contract? *Do you have backup staff to fulfill this agreement if something happens to you? Is it possible that you could double book or over book yourself? (Some vendors have more than one booking for a weekend.)
