Saturday August 14th we’re doing our next event with The Owl, Morning 'til Night. Buzzing Bleu Cherries is our platter this week and it will include hot sopressata, fresh cherries, Gorgonzola cheese, spicy cherry chutney, lavender honey walnut brittle, and crackers. The Owl is making a lavender honey martini, and specialty beers to pair. Platters are $20, and are pre-order only, order on our page, pre-orders must be in by Thursday night. The hummus box and best box was a hit, we were sold out of brats in 30 minutes, hummus was gone by the end of the night and we sold most of our pasties! I think we enjoyed ourselves a little too much this time around, I can’t wait for the market! These pictures were taken in the early hours of this morning, everything is so FRESH. Mike made boudin blanc which is a white sausage made with pork and milk and the most delicious seasonings. I baked pretzel braids to use as buns to put the sausages in, there’s sweet peach mustard, grandmas chicken pasties, a hummus box, and the sausages come in a box with beer cheese, sauerkraut that mike made, with little gherkin pickles. Feeling ALL the fall vibes that lend to October fest. The fall is our most favorite of all! Comfort food overload 🖤🍁🍂🎃

Feeling the fall vibes 🍂🍁 we sold out of pasties in 30 minutes last week at the farmers market, Grab them while you can! $8 each.

Last week I told you about my grandparents pasties.
This week I’m going to tell you my story about pasties. I was raised baking these, I remember rolling dough as a child with my family. When I was pregnant with both of my children I made pasties, I baked and baked and baked until my freezer was as full as I could get it. It was difficult figuring out how to roll out dough while standing sideways so my belly wasn’t in the way. I prepared for the sleepless nights and tired days with newborn babies. Both times we had pasties for at least a month to get us through the beginning. Pasties freeze wonderfully and are great for busy days, tired days, cozy I don’t want to do anything but watch the great British baking show in my jams kind of days. You can preorder as many as you would like just shoot us a message! 15% off for orders of 12 or more!

This is a PSA, this is the last week I will be serving Pigs and Peaches, so come and get a box tomorrow while you can. Unfortunately peaches are getting harder to get, so I’m working on a new box!

Also, I haven’t mentioned it before, but the bacon served in our boxes is spiced with my own blend of pepper, brown sugar, and salt to give it a well balanced spicy but slightly sweet flavor don’t miss out on this last round of bacon!

This week we are introducing a new product, Michigan pasties! Chicken, carrots, potatoes, onions and gravy wrapped in a flakey buttery crust.

In Michigan these little hand pies were popular with minors in the UP and now they are a Michigan staple. Ashley’s grandparents use to sell these out of their coffee shop many years ago, and now we have the pleasure of carrying on the tradition. Grandma’s crust with our spin on the filling.

This week we are introducing a new product. A Michigan pastie! Flakey buttery crust with chicken, potatoes, onions, carrots and gravy.
