I started my morning off early delivering some homemade cranberry orange loaf bread still warm from the oven and brownies for a meeting at the bank. I was greeted with the warmest hugs from Melissa Herron and Shelley Dickerson.
Coming in this bank feels like coming home…. It’s always this same warm feeling where I feel seen, valued, and loved.

Another impactful HVRN+ meeting this morning…Such an honor to work with these amazing business owners and witness their impact and passion for what they bring to our community.

Our spotlight was on Denton Farley today and his impressive IT company named “FLY consulting”. His ability to bring security into a sacred place of trust and safety within businesses is so needed and his work and thriving business is evidence of his success.

I met a young gentleman two months ago… I was leaving an event and it was snowing and freezing… I had multiple trips to make and this kind man approached me and offered to help me and make short work of loading my vehicle. He was wearing one of these caps pictures below, and due to my friendship with Denton, I assumed he was just a friend. When I inquired how he knew him, his response was, “Denton is my boss…”. It all made sense in that moment for Denton leads by example and therefore he would naturally hire employees who were genuine and kind also.

My feet were running before they hit the floor early getting food prepared for the Board Meeting at the YMCA…
Honored to attend a Prayer Luncheon planning session today at noon for the community which will be observed on May 1…
Finalizing flyer announcements for our official taste test celebration introduction at Flowers of the Lakes this month and working with Hope as she submits her application to Wayne State tomorrow for Fall classes as she heads to complete her Masters.

Life gets busy, but I spoke to several close friends yesterday and was reminded of how blessed I am to share my life with them and how much I truly have to be thankful for and grateful for upcoming opportunities to serve and support with love. Sharing hugs, laughter, and even a tear meant so much… let’s be honest… Mommas carry burdens for their babies and some days we need an extra hug.

My question is “What is your why?”
What motivates you? What keeps you focused and helps to encourage you when your tank might be running low or disappointments surface?
My WHY is love …
My prayer is that those who cross my path feel seen, heard, and valued.
If you have ever felt personally the opposite of these three things, you understand the importance.

Whatever your WHY is today, I hope your day is filled with happiness and peace.

People sometimes have a misunderstanding of what belonging to a chamber or members of a business group means… the first question they ask is “What do I receive?”
My response is “What are you giving?”

Be a GIVER: Support Encourage Edify

Things will return to you… it’s inevitable … keep your intentions pure and share love… trust the process and the journey ❤️

Spoke with a few families and businesses yesterday trusting our family with upcoming events … I was brought to tears because a family or business trusting you means they see your heart and believe you will stand behind your promise to serve.

My point is it will return to you what you have invested in others… and in the end, you will have encouraged and edified another in the process, and in reality, isn’t that the point of life? Not our self-edification, but unity and encouraging others is the goal.

Be sincerely happy for others when they prosper… a success for you benefits the entire community and impacts lives… that’s what matters ❤️
