Kate & Robbie were wed at the beautiful Eolia Mansion in Harkness Memorial Park in Waterford, CT.

A delightful breeze blows off the shore and through the big windows in the dining room making it a perfect spot to cool off on a hot summer day.

Kate loves green and her bridesmaid wore a pretty share of eucalyptus giving her plenty of room to explore a more colorful floral palette.

The bride and groom will pick a designated location with only the couple and the photographer present, allowing them to share an intimate moment and capture emotional photos.

First looks are considered to be a modern alternative to the traditional practice of not seeing each other until the bride walks down the aisle, but it allows the couple to connect and allow a moment to themselves before those wedding day jitters come back and the hustle of the schedule hits. 💟

Sometimes it's difficult to look forward to the next blizzard or deep freeze in the forecast with giddy excitement. A great way to beat the blahs is to bring a little bit of the outdoors in. Here is 5 easy ways to naturally beat the winter blahs.

1) Get your hands in the dirt- Just because the ground is frozen outside doesn't mean you can't get a little dirt under your fingernails and start prepping for warmer weather. Get a jumpstart on your spring planting by starting a few seedings inside using a seed-starting biodome.

2) Branch out- A couple of interesting branches in a tall vase has the ability to surprise and delight you every time you enter the room.

3) Welcome home some new plant babies- Winter is a great time to adopt some new little plant babies into your family. House plants have been widely studied, and the results are in! They're actually great for your time and well-being.

4) Wreaths aren't just for Christmas- Door need love all year round and creating pieces that capture the essence of the current season. In winter we shift our designs towards those that feature dried foliage, eucalyptus, olive, p***y willows, moss and dried flowers.

5) Create a terrarium for the whole family- Terrariums are fun! Kids and parents will enjoy picking the tiny plants, laying the moss, rocks and soil, and watching their unique creation grow.

The Szajnars ✨

Madeline and Matt got married at Saint Clements Castle in Portland CT. Their wedding was elegant, airy and soft with soft shades of sand, blush, and whites.

Their ceremony decor consisted of pedestals at the alter in the Sunken Garden at the castle of an airy selection and chair flowers on the isle chairs. As for the reception that was antique glass vases of stunning focal blooms with candles. Truly a romantic night!

I'm Kate LaPietra, the founder, owner, and chief flower officer of Fountainhead Floral Design.

I absolutely love spreading beauty into people lives through flowers. When someone brings flowers into a room, something changes...an energy, excitement!

I left a career in public service behind to follow my flower dream, but I've never lost my spirit for serving the public. I want to be the person that injects your world with more color!

I'm a "jill-of-all-trades", a small-town, youngest child, creative, and a pretty good cook. I pride myself on being down-to-earth, a good listener, and always ready to break the silence with a witty remark. I love my dog (Pippa), my parents, all the COLORs, and margaritas with extra salt and a side of Grey's Anatomy.
