It’s been a hard week…
In our flower shop we are part of so many special moments in someone’s life and their loved ones. The celebration of the beginning of life and all the wonderful & special occasions throughout each year.

We are honored when we are asked to make beautiful arrangements in the memory of someone.

Today hits hard.

One of our own here at The Open Rose, Melissa Cain, passed away Monday March 24, 2025. Melissa Cain was part of The Open Rose team for more than three years. During that time Melissa probably greeted you at your door or place of business with an arrangement and a contagious smile. The last six months or so she may have been that pleasant voice and sweet person who took your order by phone or in person. Melissa was such a kind soul. She always had a smile and the most positive and gracious way about her no matter what was going around her. She will be deeply missed. Please pray for her family and her friends now and in the days ahead as they navigate this loss.

She came by the shop today and kindly, selflessly gifted us two beautiful ferns. My heart is so touched. God has so many ways to show you things you need to see.

I am so saddened this morning! We had beautiful, big gorgeous ferns that were proudly displayed out front. They are GONE! Missing! Stolen! Evidently someone helped themselves. Please if you saw anything at our shop Saturday afternoon and or Sunday please let me know. It is such a sad day to see things like this.
