Yep, I sure did — and here’s why ⬇️

When I started Charmate Events, I had all the teaching, organization, and planning skills — but now I’ve got 3 years of real weddings + events under my belt, plus a whole lot of trusted reviews to back it up. That experience is priceless 💕

My dream is to make Charmate Events my full-time thing, and for that to be sustainable it means:
✨ Paying my assistants fair wages
✨ Setting aside money for projects + taxes (adulting is real 😂)
✨ Spoiling my clients with gifts + swag

I’ll always aim to be affordable (I’m not a luxury planner and never want to be out of reach), but raising my prices reflects both the value I bring and the future I’m building. While someone else might be cheaper, you’ll get knowledge, creativity, care, and a stress-free day with me 💖

I get this question all the time! Charmate Events was born as a creative outlet when I left teaching and entered the (let’s be real) boring corporate world. I missed the joy, the energy, and the chaos of the classroom—and I’ve always been the go-to girl for planning a great party. So I thought, why not turn that passion into something bigger?

I took all the organization, flexibility, and quick thinking from teaching and poured it into the fun and fabulous world of event planning 💕🎉

I’m Hannah Pipines Trafton—Milwaukee born and raised! I’ve lived here my whole life and truly can’t imagine being anywhere else. The culture, the charm, and the fun of this city keep me rooted right here.

I have a tiny but mighty little fam: a wild 2-year-old 🧸, the cutest cat 🐱, and a very loud parrot 🦜 (seriously, he runs the house). My husband and I are loving the life we’ve built and are so excited to see where this biz takes us!

In my downtime, I’m a TV show girly (the more drama, the better), and I love getting creative in the kitchen. I’m constantly whipping up new recipes to enter in the State Fair—and yes, I do have an award-winning banana bread and yes, you can totally have the recipe 😘

☎️ What did I Learned from my First Styled Shoot?? ☎️

While I am no stranger to a photoshoot, they were always branding shoots. The shoots had vendors involved it was NOTHING like a styled shoot.

Here are a few things a learned:
💖 A styled shoot is SO much work, it’s similar to planning vendors for a wedding. There were so many emails, conversations, and meetings. Even after the shoot is done!

💖 Trust your vendors! While I always had trust in them, this shoot put this into practice. Learning to step back, trusting my decisions, and letting the vendor’s talents shine. No need to micromanage a wedding professional!

💖 As much as I loved using this as a branding shoot, OMG it was hard to do this! Setting up the scene and then doing my hair & make up without looking like a sweaty mess was roughhhhh. Ask anyone who was at the shoot, I had my little fan on my face 24/7 before my photos. 😂

💐A Styled Shoot is Blooming… 🌿

I’m thrilled to announce I have been helping to design and coordinate “Château in Bloom”—a romantic, European-inspired styled shoot happening later this August at the beautiful . Led by the amazing , this vision is filled with soft florals, vintage details, and garden-party elegance with a vineyard twist.
