Since 1984, we’ve been treating the Milwaukee area with the most authentic handcrafted tamales using our traditional recipe that goes back generations in the family. Our tamales began as a simple source of income to make ends meet in the early 1980s. Since then, eating our tamales have become a Milwaukee weekend tradition. l way brought from our grandparents’ hometown, Reynosa Mexico. In the beginning, we only specialized in homemade tamales for our neighbors in the Walker’s Point neighborhood. This was mostly factory workers, schools, and family events like weddings and graduations. Our tamales can still be found in bars and taverns throughout Milwaukee when people thought acting like robots and moonwalking was cool. Chances are if your parents hung out in the Walker’s Point area bars, they’ve had Milwaukee Tamale Company’s tamales. Today, our tamales can still be found in bars and taverns, our small batch salsas are gaining popularity everyday, and many other handmade traditional and original recipes have joined our repertoire.
