How many of you try your first wedding dress on, and that's the one?!

This Lela Rose couture designed wedding dress, pays homage to years past, with it's exquisite and intricately designed lace and floral detailing. And was meant for Caroline Orr Frahm.

I love this photo because it shows only the dress details, nothing more. It captures the essence of this dresses' beauty.

I'm a sucker for black + white photos. Growing up in the 60's and 70's, that's what we had. Beyond that, I feel it captures the "essence" of the subject(s), no color distractions, and evokes a simplicity in the photo. Yet it's so much more, these images are ethereal...can you feel it?!

Baye + Daniel's July wedding celebration was intimate and filled with old-fashioned fun! Her thoughtful attire choices from the stunning, classic lace cathedral veil, to switching it out later to a 60's throwback, classic bow veil were spot on. Loved.

Can't wait to share more pictures in the weeks ahead! 🙂

I’m an avid gardener. Comes naturally and in my genes. My grandparents and great-grandparents were farmers. My sweet dad loved nothing more than coming home from work, putting on his overalls and gardening hat and “puttering” as he’d say, in his beloved garden.

Gardening is my zen place. It’s where I love to start and end my day. First couple of harvests, onions, rainbow beets and the beginning of green beans. I love testing heirloom seeds and will say the beets from seed was a huge success. My dinner tonight, beets, chives from the garden and a balsamic drizzle. Amazing!!

Ps the white beets are beyond the best I’ve ever tasted.

Just planted a succession crop.

Find your happy place. It’s the best place to be. 😘

It’s a busy weekend, working both days. My favorite way to start these days, cuddle and quiet time with my sweet Wilma, aka Nugget. Then of course I have to leave, which makes her sad. My parting words are always, “Mama has to go out and earn the bacon.”

Being a small business owner, we hustle, we sometimes work 7 days a week, weekends are for work not rest but we do it, because it is ours, it’s sharing our talents and it’s our imprint in our pocket of the world.

What's the number one thing you look for when you're searching for the perfect wedding planner? Is it price, style, personality? If you've been looking for a wedding planner you've probably realized that it can be a little overwhelming at times, but I'm here to help you in your search with my 5 best tips on finding the perfect planner!⁠

1. Meet face to face (or at least hop on a zoom call😉) A good relationship and chemistry with your planner is essential! Make sure your personalities click. ⁠
⁠
2. Look at the planner's individual background and experience. If you're very focused on design, colors, and floral, you may want to choose someone who's also very visual. Most planners have a diverse background, but try to work with one who is great at emphasizing the aspects that are most important to you.⁠
⁠
3. Find a planner who isn't a "yes" man. Your bridal party and family have the important job of hyping you up, but your wedding planner shouldn't. Find someone who will be honest and straightforward about everything from creative ideas to budget. Work with a planner that will give you realistic expectations while bringing your vision to life, not someone who will say or do anything to gain your business.⁠

Colleen and Ethan shared this sentiment, which led them to choosing for their wedding venue. While the main floor is wide open and grand, the Madcap Lounge downstairs offered intimacy and space for their guests to not only enjoy dancing and cocktails, but also to lounge in quieter rooms and play a game or two of pool! ⁠
