We love our Milwaukie community! Join us at the Sustainability Fair September 7th where we will collect floral vases to follow our business model of reducing waste! Thank you Milwaukie Environmental Stewards Group for putting this on.
BRING THESE THINGS TO RECYCLE OR EXCHANGE
AT THE SUSTAINABILITY FAIR ON SEPT. 7TH from 10 to 3 in downtown Milwaukie where the Farmers Market is every Sunday, across from the old City Hall.
JAMES RECYCLING will be taking 1,2,4 and 6 plastics. $4.00 a grocery size bag full.
P3 RECYCLING will be collecting #5 plastics
COMMUNITY WAREHOUSE will be collecting small household items including:
Pots & pans
Dishes
Silverware
Small appliances
Towels
Pillows
Sheets
Blankets
Small lamps
HABITAT FOR HUMANITY will have a truck in the back of the parking lot with a driveway area to drop off your items. They will be accepting:
Appliances, Cabinets, Chemicals and Cleaners, Doors, Exercise Equipment, Fasteners & Hardware, Flooring, Furniture, Office Furniture, Home Goods, HVAC, Lawn & Garden, Lighting & Electrical, Lumber, Paint, Plumbing, Roofing, Tile, Tools & Equipment, Windows
CLOTHING EXCHANGE will be accepting 2 grocery bags full of:
Clothes that you would want or you would want to give to a friend. Clothing must be laundered with no stains. No rips or tears unless they can be easily repaired. Shoes must be in pairs and be as clean as possible. Accessories and jewelry items are welcome but should be wearable and usable.
BOOK EXCHANGE will be accepting 2 or 3 books that are in good repair.
METRO will be accepting:
Medical sharps and epi pens – Ask them for a free sharps container
Old prescription medications – Can be placed in a Ziploc bag, liquids or pet meds are okay.
Household batteries – rechargeable and lithium ion
Compact Fluorescent lights – CFL bulbs, no tubes or broken bulbs
REPAIR FAIR will work to repair your:
small electronics, home appliances and clothing or fabric items. Only bring items small enough to be easily carried by one person, and do not bring any items that are leaking, dangerous, dirty or have a strong odor.
GREEN CENTURY RECYCLING will be collecting the following:
Computers, Laptops, Cell phones, Servers, LCD Monitors, LCD TV’s, , CRT monitors/TV’s, Networking items, Server Racks, Hard Drives, Circuit Boards, Wire, UPS Battery Backups, Computer Accessories, Medical Equipment, Cable Boxes, Video Game Consoles, Washers / Dryers, Metal Items, Home Electronics
