With more than 200 artists, musicians, culinary artists, a car show, a vintage market AND a family activities area, the Stone Arch Bridge festival has become a staple of Minnesota summers, located right along the banks of the Mississippi River in North Loop.

💜 Happy Prince Day to those who celebrate (i.e. all of MN)! 💜
Need the perfect way to celebrate? Go check out the iconic outfit worn by Prince in Purple Rain at the Minnesota History Center! The costume can be viewed for free during library hours in the lobby of the Gale Family Library, located on the second floor of the History Center.

💃 🕺 The Hennepin is turning up the volume for !💃 🕺

These newspaper clippings take us all the way back to the earliest days of The 900 Hennepin Building, which opened in 1921. Tenants included Barry’s Telegraph and Business College, the Western Auto Supply Company, a barber shop and the Knickerbocker Dancing School!

In the 1930’s, the Knickerbocker Dancing School opened at 900 Hennepin. Notable students included , the swinging American singing group who brought us the beloved "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy of Company B."

The next time you visit our Studio 900 on the third floor, take a second to remember the people, both legends and forgotten, who have made Minneapolis home!

Here are 5 actionable steps you can take today to show a little love for our planet:
👗 1. Join a Buy Nothing Facebook group for your neighborhood, or start your own! It's an easy way to both spend less and waste less!

🌼 2. Add some native Pasqueflower or New England Aster to your garden this year. They support local ecosystems and are easier to grow than non-native varieties!

💧 3. Time for Spring cleaning! Fix those leaky faucets and reseal those windows that ice over every year. Both you and the planet will live just a little more comfortably!

🚗 4. Put a dedicated trash bag in your car so when you see a piece of litter in a parking lot or by a curb, you can throw it away with ease!
