Eye of Agamotto I wore this one around Disney’s California Adventure. When I met Lightning McQueen, he kept saying the same thing over and over again. When I commented on it to the photographer, he said that Lightning must have been stuck in a time loop. Next time, I’ll be sure to deactivate the Eye before posing with a character! Fuel Rod Greeble Last month Amazon had their Prime Day Preview and I picked up a three pack of those Fuel Rod portable batteries. You’ve seen their machines at the airport, or at one of the parks. They’re great for keeping your phone/datapad charged for whatever adventure you are on. If your battery runs out of juice, just go up to the machine and exchange it for a fully charged one! Minimalist Leather Wallet When I started putting together the character Seykahr Amrod, I began laying out all the pieces and parts to his outfit and accessories. This would, of course, include a Jedi belt. I found some on Amazon for around $50, but when they showed up they weren’t a match for my girth! Datapad Case If you are heading to the Galaxy’s Edge, protecting your datapad should be your primary directive. I had heard about “kitbashing” and “greeblies” and dove head first into it! One of the first things that I learned is when you glue plastic onto plastic that is bound to twist, turn, bump, bang, pulled out of and shoved into pockets, bags, and palms, things do tend to fall off! Something New from Something Old When my daily use phone case started falling apart, I took the opportunity to make something new from it. It was one of those phone case/wallet combos that used magnets to hold the wallet on to the case. It was also wireless charging compatible. I decided to make a low profile datapad case out of it, something I could carry each day and maybe figure out how to incorporate some space for it to hold some stickers. A Day on Batuu Obeying the will of the Force can be inconvenient at times. You learn that your plans, your ambitions must be put on hold from time to time. I had entered a tunnel. This is what dreams are made of I’ve never watched Lizzie McGuire, but somehow this song came to mind when I made this. A few years ago, I bought a Figment shoulder plush to wear as I visit the parks. And he’ll carry something different for each park that we visit. On our September 2023 trip, not only did I get to bring Figment carrying a Figment, but I also got to get a picture of me holding Figment, holding a Figment, holding a Figment (That’s three levels of Inception!) Tracking fob You’ve seen it on The Mandalorian. This tracking fob is a great add to your park bag, your costume, or just to sit on your desk. It runs off of a single 2032 coin battery for hours, and has a convenient push button on/off switch on the bottom. It is a great accessory for a Day on Batuu.
