This weekend was beyond exhausting but also incredibly fulfilling; between the two weddings, rehearsal dinner coverage, and an engagement session I am feeling like I've been spread about as thin as possible but then my three year old daughter asked me to do puzzles with her tonight way past her bedtime and I couldn't possibly say no, and just like that all tiredness and fatigue dissipated. If there is anything the last few weeks have taught me, it's to stop and soak the fleeting moments that are in abundance at every turn. Whether it be light, love, or a lingering desire to locate and ignite our intuitions, the fact of the matter is: nothing intangible that happened yesterday has to be permanent today, that's why to me these photos I take for a living become so meaningful, I feel and sense a moment in the future where someday these photographs will have precedence and purpose long after I have left this planet. That notion alone, although there are a million others, gives me the gift to not fatigue, even when the weekend leaves little room for even sleep. Took this on Friday evening at one of my favorite venues, in my favorite light and for a split second carrying around a big piece of glass all day seemed worth it.
