Please drink and be merry -- just don't be too loud outside and respect our neighbors :)
Fun facts about Le Chateau: (a) she is over 100 years old, (b) someone died in this house (not while we lived here), (c) she has deep laugh lines but that's part of her character & story. Parties at Chateau Fremont are a place for people of all different walks in life to converge and share a celebratory momen
t in time. Everyone's goal should be to show respect of other people and their differences, concede to others' strengths and weaknesses, and be kind to each other, if only for the time you spend here.

We are saddened to hear about the fire at The 19 Bar, but thankfully, there were no injuries. The 19 Bar has been an important part of our LGBTQ community for 76 years and we're sending our love and good thoughts to the staff, ownership and all who call the 19 Bar home.

This was as close to a perfect moment as we could get. Happy Pride, Holi, and everything good that this represents. Love, play, and live it up this week! 🌈🎨🇮🇳☮️

No Pride afterparty this year, unfortunately! Will have to do an afterparty later in the summer.

Should Beach Emergencies make a comeback?
Do people desire community and connection right now, or have we pivoted towards smaller groups?
Also, wyd tomorrow? :)
(Beach emergencies == Facebook events with short notice for LGBTQA+ beach gatherings, based on weather)

The disco misses everyone. Some day we can dance again, hopefully. 🕺🏼💖

The Chateau is a celebratory LGBT+Allied community center that started in 2008 as a place to throw fabulous theme parties, get-togethers, dinners, bonfires, BBQs, intentional conversation groups, pre-bars, after-parties, and more.
Our goal is to provide and promote radical welcoming, loving acceptance, diversity, counterculture, and a space for art in all its forms. Also, life is precious, so let’s celebrate as much as we can!
Our target demographic is anyone who needs the space, or who can use it in a meaningful way, either as someone who has a hand in the events, creates or captures art/music/beauty within the space, or simply attends as a guest.
People have gotten married because they met here (two actually got married in the back yard), friend groups have formed, and we celebrated together with some of the organizers of the landmark “Vote No” campaign’s victory for gay marriage in Minnesota.
Budding and seasoned photographers, drag queens, burlesque performers, mixologists, DJs, and musicians have either gotten a start here or promoted their work. We’ve hosted famous musicians for brunch, had elected officials over, and once had a promo party for an event in Miami sponsored by Bacardi. People often send new LGBTA folks our way when they first move here as an introduction into a community which can be hard to get to know.
Some fun facts about Le Chateau: she is over 100 years old, someone died here (several years before we got here), and she has deep laugh lines that are part of her character and story. Her downstairs disco used to look like a crime scene, with paintball stains all over the walls, but we put a lot of love, sparkle, and sweet audio power into her lower loins. She is supported by a group of co-hosts, one founder/visionary/tenant, and a lineage of past roommates.
