It's a place to create, connect + collaborate with others who share the yearning for learning + creating. LAB Headquarters is located on the North end of Loring Park, across from The Basilica. Take the elevator from the historic alleyway up to 3R - we are on the top floor. We want to support the art of crafting by providing a fun atmosphere for you to learn and create while socializing with others
, and leave feeling completely inspired. Founders: Jessica Moriarty and Mollie Windmiller are the co-founders of LAB. Together, they offer the perfect combination of passion and skills to curate LAB MPLS. Mollie, president of Windmiller Design Group, has an unrivaled eye for design and branding. Jessica is the owner of Prime and Polish, the home décor boutique in Minneapolis. Mix Jessica’s knowledge of DIY projects, interior design and home décor with Mollie’s design expertise and enthusiasm, and we’ve got a duo that’s ready to conduct labs for all things creative!
As we helped tell the .mn story, copywriting was key to developing a brand voice that brought Lidia's warmth and relationship-driven business style to the forefront. Using this tagline in combination with custom illustrations makes for a vibrant, one-of-a-kind brand.
We had so much fun bringing this rebrand to life for Lidia and her team, and can't wait to see how it plays together with the gorgeous spaces they create.
When .mn told us they wanted to lean into colors and patterns in their rebrand, it was music to our ears. 🤗 We created a series of custom patterns drawing inspiration from her family's upbringing in vibrant communities from Nicaragua to Greece.
Using colors inspired by neighborhoods of their youth and shapes that play to the "moon" element of the brand, the final product celebrates a marriage of heritage through design.

Lidia is one of the few BIPOC women in the building industry, and is proud to have built her business on quality relationships, valuing heritage, and detail-oriented design. She came to us looking for a brand to help represent her unique perspective, emphasizing her love of color, culture, and intentional design.

Today on the blog, we are taking a look inside 's newest Northeast exhibit, When the Moon Was Home. This beautiful multimedia collection explores grief, joy, legacy, and the man behind it all, Tyler's late father.
With ethereal hand-felted wool coats, monumental sculpture furniture, and 350 lb sculpted butcher block suspended from the ceiling, this is a can't-miss in the Minneapolis art scene.
