OPENING THIS FRIDAY!
Come meet our newest tenant Lagniappe. Enjoy the beautiful space, delicious food and luscious cocktails.

At Lagniappe, it’s all about the little extra—that little something special that makes life (and food) just a bit more wonderful. Lagniappe (pronounced LAN-YAP) is a new restaurant concept where the charm of New Orleans meets the vibrant spirit of Minneapolis. At Lagniappe, we believe in celebrating you, just the way you are. Our doors are wide open for a dining experience that’s classy but never stuffy. We’re funky, cool, and ready to serve up some authentic New Orleans magic right here in Minneapolis. We’re opening our doors on Friday, October 11, 2024 at 5:00pm, and we can’t wait to welcome you!

We are located inside the The Historic Coliseum Building at 2700 East Lake Street. There is a FREE parking lot next to the building - enter on 27th Avenue.

The Historic Coliseum Building is OPEN! We are so grateful for Gov. Tim Walz, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, City Council Member Robin Wonsley and Representative Ilhan Omar for joining us at the ribbon cutting on June 19, 2024. Our doors first opened in 1917, and now 107 years later, we are proud to re-open them to the community where Everyone is Welcome. And we’re not done either - there is still more to come, as more businesses and tenants continue to join our space, our multiple event spaces and a new co-working space become available for rent later this summer and the new restaurant Lagniappe and the Du Nord Cocktail Room open up on the ground floor this fall! We’re only just getting started!

Come join us from 12:00 - 8:00 pm as we open our doors to the many activities and exhibitions celebrating the Soul of the Southside Juneteenth Festival. Originally built in 1917, we are excited to restore life back to this beautiful building more than 107 years later and help heal the Longfellow neighborhood of Minneapolis along East Lake Street. Built in 1917, The Historic Coliseum Building on Lake Street has long served as a beacon for local businesses and BIPOC entrepreneurs. The 80,000 square-foot building is reopening its doors to the community on June 19th, 2024 as a part of the Soul of the Southside Festival.

The Historic Coliseum Building offers the Twin Cities a variety of new neighborhood resources in the heart of Longfellow:

▪️ event center - from its ballroom days to the present, the building has had a venue available for people to come together and celebrate.
▪️ coworking space - whether someone is visiting for the day or looking for that communal office feel, they can choose from a variety of state-of-the-art desk layouts to get work done from, independently or as a team.
▪️ space for lease - there are over thirty retail and office tenant opportunities with a heavy focus on Black, Indigenous, People of Color or BIPOC entrepreneurs and professionals.
▪️ restaurant and bar - opening in the Fall are Lagniappe, a funky, cool restaurant serving New Orleans cuisine as well as Du Nord Cocktail Room, a full service-bar where everyone is invited and everyone belongs.

Everyone is welcome at The Historic Coliseum Building. From the moment you step into the redesigned space and visit the Reception, you will be embraced. The building’s design was also carefully chosen to ensure that people of every ability can use the building.

**SNEAK PEEK!**
