It was our pleasure today hosting Mortenson’s 2024 Women’s event - Breaking Barriers at McNamara.
Twenty six years ago Mortenson broke ground on the McNamara Alumni Center and it was truly an impressive feat—working with 40,000 sq. ft. of rose-colored granite, 6 miles of hemlock wood, and nearly 100,000 sq. ft. of copper!
We loved having our construction partner back at our venue for this enlightening event!

Have you ever wondered where we store all of our furniture and equipment? We have more than 400 tables and 1000 chairs stored in the basement of our building! To set every room, our amazing crew uses our newly refurbished freight elevator to bring what’s needed up to the main floor. Hard work!

Here are a few best practices to set yourself up for success at your next conference:
1. Prepare an “elevator pitch” about yourself and your company when others ask about you. Tailor your answer to seek new clients if that’s a goal of yours!
2. Sit next to people you don’t know to maximize meeting others. Don’t be afraid to ask questions and start conversations!
3. Make sure your social media platforms are updated and ready to share. Did you know LinkedIn has a QR code to share your profile?
