Pop Up Performance by Michael Sommers nightly through April 5 at 7:30pm!

The First Time I Smelled Ham, part visual art, part history, part 'best puppet show ever', by outsider artist James "Ernie" Newfield, curated and presented by Michael Sommers.

In the basement of RESOURCE at 512 East 24th Street (two doors down from Open Eye), inside a long neglected closet, a collection of disintegrating paintings, objects and puppets were discovered. Sommers will discuss "Ernie's" life and work and present two of Ernie's puppet plays.

Dagsi Turtle & his sidekick Jisdu Wabbit race through time and space to bring you a new musical adventure into Cherokee Futurism. Tales of ᏓᎦᏏ Dagsi Turtle & ᏥᏍᏚ Jisdu Wabbit, a 2025 Jim Henson Foundation Family Theater Grant Awardee, features catchy original tunes and out-of-this-world puppet characters!
