At the end of September, eight area golfers – four boys and four girls – were crowned National Finalists at Hazeltine National Golf Club. These finalists earned an invitation to compete in the 11th annual Drive, Chip and Putt National Finals – held on the Sunday prior to the start of the Masters Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club.

The Drive, Chip and Putt regional qualifier at Hazeltine National Golf Club, a well-known major venue, included a few subtle tributes to past champions. Meanwhile, National Finalist Chloe Perfect made a little history of her own.

Drive, Chip and Putt is a free nationwide junior golf development competition aimed at growing the game by focusing on the three fundamental skills employed in golf for boys and girls ages 7-15.

Players advance by placing in the top three in each age/gender category at the local level and top two at the sub-regional level. The top finisher in each of the boys and girls divisions at the Regional level will advance to Augusta National and compete in the national championship.
