Join us from June 23 – 29, 2024, for our inaugural "Great Minnesota Bake Sale" happening at various locations throughout the Twin Cities Metro!

🥐 WHAT: A community-wide bake sale to support Open Arms of Minnesota
📅 WHEN: June 23 – 29, 2024
📍 WHERE: Participating "Bake Sale" locations across the Twin Cities
💌 HOW: Starting June 1, we’re launching an extensive marketing campaign alongside our partners, encouraging everyone to support our bake sale participants.

WHY:
We’re raising funds to provide nourishing, medically tailored meals to our neighbors facing life-threatening and critical illnesses.

About the Event:
Food has always been a way to build community and support important causes. Our Great Minnesota Bake Sale brings a fresh twist to this tradition. With the help of bakeries, coffee shops, retailers, and online partners, we’ll host bake sales across the Twin Cities, sharing resources and talents to raise awareness for our mission.

For a girl whose earliest memories include singing “The Gambler” by Kenny Rogers, riding the gravel road to school in our family’s Ford Pinto station wagon (yes, decked out with wood panels) this was definitely one of those “pinch-me” moments… producing an event where legends live. FINALLY, back on social media… 2023 will be the year I jump back in… since all the work we did in 2022 still lives in my memory and in the cloud. 🤦‍♀️

Longing to someday permanently escape to the North Shore (and pretend I’m outdoorsy), Upstate MN and its online story provide not only beautiful gift inspiration, but a window to Lake Superior and connection to the landscape and life around it. Kristofer’s storytelling captures the extraordinary beauty of this sacred place through the artisan wares in his well-appointed shop and stunning photography. Theatre allows you to completely immerse yourself with holiday spirit. Stages Theatre Company holds a special place in my heart. I’ve witnessed how they make the arts accessible to all communities by serving on their board for nearly a decade. I have been a proud stage mom, watching how they empowered my daughter to share her gifts on stage. This dedicated team of artists fought tirelessly to stay alive in ‘20, virtually serving their communities to give children moments of relief and a bit of stability during lockdown and now they are back ON STAGE with Elf!

It’s truly a reason to celebrate this holiday season.

The beautiful shining star who worked with us during her senior year at UST. A kind soul who thoughtfully went out of her way to make life better for all around her. Poised, organized, driven, and most of all extraordinary. Our hearts go out to her parents, her sisters, and Brian. We celebrate the too brief time we had with her on this earth.
