Planning a wedding can be overwhelming at times, but one thing we always remind our couples is that nothing has the power to ruin your day, unless you let it.

Brady and Etta embraced this so perfectly. While the ceremony was scheduled to be outdoors, there was a last minute switch to indoors due to the pouring rain, and even though it wasn’t the original plan - nothing could ruin their day.

Everything turned out so beautifully, and most importantly they were able to fully live in the moment and enjoy their day.

Huge shoutout to rush creek for being so flexible and able to accommodate last minute changes and execute the day so well. And okay, can we also admire the flowers by .floral - just stunning! Everything about this day was beautiful, rain or shine 🤍

As we are in the middle of wedding season, I just want to take a moment to pause. There are so many words and emotions, but all I can think of is this- I’m so thankful right now.

Thankful for our couples who trust us and continue to hire us to capture important milestones in their lives

Thankful for the ways we’ve grown - as people and as a business. If 5 years ago you were to tell me we’d be here, there’s no way in heck I’d believe you.

Thankful for the days where things were hard and we didn’t give up. Running a business takes a lot of grit and anyone who claims it’s easy or perfect is likely not sharing the full story because there’s a lot that goes into it - and man I’m so glad we never gave up on this dream.

Thankful for all the ways in which god has continued to show up and lead us in ways we cannot explain or even fully comprehend. Picking up a camera has completely changed my life, and it’s wild to think that all along that was God’s plan.

Thankful for what’s yet to come.

We’re half way through wedding season, and looking ahead at the calendar it feels like we’re only getting started. We’re so dang thankful and excited for the opportunities ahead and cannot wait to see it all unfold in front of us.

We are out of the office backpacking in the Mountains! We’ll have no service, no laptops, nothing but the great outdoors and we are so excited!!

Erin & Andy’s Chicago engagement photos 🫶🏼

These two showed us all around Chicago and some of their favorite places - we got apps and drinks at Parson’s, then we went for a walk along the riverfront, and then headed to one of the most beautiful beaches with a skyline view! And to end our night, we went to one of their favorite breweries where they have trivia might every single week. It was the perfect double date night exploring a beautiful city with an incredible couple.

They’re coming back to MN this fall for the state fair so we might just have to have a part two with these guys 🥹🤍 Minnesota edition :)

Six years ago, we hired Derek to shoot our wedding and his girlfriend Monica, tagged along as his second shooter. Here we are now with the honor and privilege of shooting these dear friends wedding and it was one we’ll always look back on as one for the books. There’s something so special about being able to spend extra time with your friends on their wedding day. It was one heck of a day and we cannot wait to share more; but for now can we just admire how stunning these guys are!? And also - redeemed farms will forever be one of our favorites. What has lived in my head for years as a daydream has now fully been lived out and a part of our story and I could cry my heart is so full!

Living in our Prius for the last 2 months, traveling all over the country, meeting incredible people, hosting an awesome community and workshop, while getting to do what we love just doesn’t feel real. We got home at 1AM and I’m waking up this morning wondering if any of this was real because it all went so fast and feels like a dream!

Our hearts are so incredibly full 🤍

Our first workshop and it was everything we dreamed it would be and so much more and we are so honored to be doing what we do. So much more to come and share about the last few months, but now it’s time to unpack and re-pack - we fly to Florida tomorrow 😂🤷🏽‍♀️✈️

When we got to Colorado for Angie and Nick’s wedding in the mountains, it was a full on blizzard. The snow was coming down hard and the mountains couldn’t even be seen. Their friends and family all flew in from Minnesota, and it was ironic because it looked just like back home

The rehearsal dinner was great, and the snow was beautiful, but we all really wanted the mountains to be visible - and so Luke and I, along with some friends and family back home prayed

Now, the wedding day was still covered in snow, but just in time for portraits, it let up - and for the couple hours we had for portraits the mountains were visible 🤍 it was such a gift and these photos are some of our favorites because of it

So, over the last few weeks there have been a lot of new faces around here so it’s time for us to come out and say helloooooo

We’re Luke & Halle, and our couple name is Lulle. Everyone says it wrong; but we’ll love you if you say it right 🤍a few fun facts:

- working with us feels like a double date when you hire us for both photo & film (Halle does photo, Luke does video)
- we’ve been living on the road for the last month and a half
- we love running and doing triathlons together
- our dog is an unofficial employee here at LP&F
- Luke used to be a ballerina
- Halle went to a Sasquatch seminar and believes they *might* be real
- It’s been almost 8 years since we stated this business
- Halle hosts a podcast for wedding creatives
- tomorrow we host our first workshop in Joshua Tree
- we’ve shot over 150 weddings and we absolutely love telling couples stories
- last year, 30% of our weddings were travel and destination based ✈️

These two are getting married later this year at a venue with a greenhouse, and so we found it very fitting to do their engagement photos at - which is such a great place for photos! The staff was so kind and helpful, and it’s super easy to get a photography pass! 10/10 recommend as a great indoor location!

The pure JOY of this day is what will be most remembered - I think it happened over 100 times throughout the day where Makayla says she was so happy and that this was the best day of her life, literally from the moment I got there to saying good by on the dance floor, the joy in the room could be felt and it was the most beautiful day 🤍
