Oktoberfest kicked off on Saturday, September 21 at the North Paseo at LOS OSOS 🐻, and what a party it was! More than 1,000 people filled the market with laughter and fun, exploring the unique shops, indulging in delicious bites from a variety of food vendors and enjoying live music by Crossroads.

The Night Market also featured a stein girl stilt walker towering over the crowd and crafty pretzel 🥨necklaces to show off the festival spirit. Carnival games added to the excitement and food lovers savored the themed treats from the German Deli food truck. One of the highlights was the stein-holding 🍺 contest! Twelve brave contestants flexed their muscles as they tried to outlast one another for ultimate bragging rights.

If you missed this one, don’t worry. The next Night Market is on Saturday, October 19 with more fun, food, and Halloween-themed festivities! 🎃👻

Join us for a meet and greet with Waste Management on Thursday, June 6 at the North Paseo at LOS OSOS (25282 Marguerite Parkway) from 2 to 4 pm as they showcase their truck and answer questions. Kids can also sit in the driver’s seat and take photos.

A Senior Drop-and-Go non-perishable Food Drive will take place from 9 to 11 am on Monday, May 20 at the North Paseo, 25282 Marguerite Parkway.

Hosted by the Senior Leadership Committee, the drive-through, drop-off event will benefit low- and fixed-income seniors who experience food insecurities and use the senior grocery program at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center.

The process is quick and easy. Simply place your donation in your trunk, drive-up, pop the trunk and volunteers will collect it. You will stay inside your vehicle.

Celebrate Bike Safety Month at the free Bicycle Safety Rodeo Friday, May 17 at the North Paseo at LOS OSOS.

Hosted by Mission Viejo Police Services and the California Highway Patrol, the fun takes place from 3:30-5:30 pm at 25282 Marguerite Parkway.

Participants will have the opportunity to ride through a non-competitive skills course with stations designed to help build safe riding abilities. E-bikes are welcome and helmets are required for ages 5-17.

All bike riders must register online (https://ow.ly/QbTX50RAYmn) and review and sign the waiver (https://ow.ly/aVi950RAYmq) to participate. If you do not bring the required documentation to the event, you will not be able to participate.
