I’ve been part of 3 AMAZING weddings during the last 2 weekends!!! So thankful for all my clients and friends I’ve been making during this wedding season. Wouldn’t trade it for anything!

Wow. Pretty speechless about this, and unbelievably humbled. I truly take so much pride in trying to ensure peoples’ biggest day of their lives goes perfect. My biggest goal while working weddings is to make sure the couple, the wedding party, families and all the guests have an absolute blast with an organized event and a hell of a party. The fact that former clients, future clients, fellow vendors and friends took the time to vote for me in this category means the world to me. There’s a lot of great wedding vendors in all categories all over this state, so I didn’t want to post the names of the people/companies that were also nominated in this, as we’re all in this industry together! We all make each other better.

I always keep the following in mind: for a lot of us vendors, we are booked every weekend and some week days, venues all over the state and beyond. However, for our clients… it’s their one day. The biggest one of their lives. We owe it to them to be the absolute best version of our professional selves! I do this very proudly and to get this validation from you all means everything to me. For a lot of you that know my journey through this wedding industry, leaving a position to take a scary step into launching my own business… I could not be more appreciative of you guys all supporting me. THANK YOU and let’s keep making memories!!!!

Let's talk about vendors! Every wedding needs a budget and inevitably choices need to be made on where and how to spend those dollars. Other than a coordinator (😉) one of the most important vendors you can hire, in our opinion, is a DJ.

But, you have a Cousin who has worked events before, a coordinator, and a Spotify account. Why spend the money? Well, I'm here to tell you that a DJ is SO MUCH more than just a guy or gal who hits play and makes a few announcements. They are masters of reading a crowd. They know when to start pulling the guests from event to event, when to make those ever so important announcements, when to bring the vibe down to create an intimate feel, and when to get that party started. They are an intricate part of making sure your big day goes off without a hitch

Trust us, we've seen how quickly things can go bad without a pro controlling that music. The wrong songs being played for the ceremony, explicit songs popping on at the worst moment, dead quiet while someone fumbles with their phone trying to get the next song on. Yikes!

Work that DJ into your budget early, Brides & Grooms. No one will remember what color flowers were on the arch but they will remember a clunky, quiet, and disorganized experience during your reception.

One year. Last August I made a very scary move, leaving a position I was very comfortable with to see if there was something more. Some people told me to not do it and that I’d fall flat on my face on my own.. many more encouraged me to finally do it. Here we are now. 12 months as a solo business, happier and busier than ever. No burner accounts to promote engagement, no fluff. All organic. These things don’t happen without amazing people, reviews, referrals, etc. Thank you all so much! We’re just getting started 🔥 ALWAYS bet on yourself… you’ll never lose.

(And yes I randomly walk around downtown holding a microphone)
