Even though the weather was nothing short of frightful today....we still had a good turn out for Merry Main Street and was very much appreciated! Shopping small is what keeps our businesses open and in town, every time you choose to spend your money here, the money benefits the community more than you can ever imagine! Thanks for believing in us!

**UPDATE** MVMS Builder's Club Hot Chocolate Stand has been cancelled due to concern of safety for the kids and the fact many live outside of town - Rise & Grind IS open - and all the other events are up and running!

We are still 'ON' for today with Merry Main Street! Come see us! By the time the stares are opening, we should be in better shape as the ice melt is working downtown and Erie Street/US Hwy 30 is actually pretty good in town. Cannot say for outside of town but in town, things are melting and okay. Side streets are another story as they may be a few more hours before the melting gets going due to not the volume of traffic Erie Street gets. BUT the Kiwanis Club of Greater Missouri Valley Pancake Breakfast at St Pat's in Mo Valley have unfortunately been cancelled for today - we will reschedule and make it another day!

My cousin, Dr Katherine Fisher, has written a book with a second on its way soon. It is available on Amazon and her author's copies are on their way but probably not here by Christmas. There WILL be a book signing once they are here and if you purchase a book on Amazon, she will happily sign it at the official book signing coming soon! She brought in this synopsis of the book, a brief bio complete with a QRC code to direct order from your phone. Katherine is married to Matt (also known as Bob & Gayla's son) and they live just north of Mo Valley and have the coolest son, Jace. There is a copy of the book here on hand to peruse through but it is the only copy in town as mine has been delayed in shopping from Amazon until next week for some reason.

A bit late but still catching up with the gratitude I have for everyone who pitched in for the Mother's Day weekend frenzy. To mom (Joanne), Cathy, Georgia & Dave, and of course, everyone's favorite UPS man of all times - the legend Glenn came to help get flowers delivered to everyone. For the patience customers had on the phones and in the store - thank you! There were a lot of moving parts but we made it! And of course, to all the customers and moms out there - THANK YOU, thank you for ALL your support because without YOU, this whole show shuts down! So, thanks for making dreams come true for small businesses and supporting your small town. And for those wondering....Rocco and Buddy once again failed to shop for me but they DID get tummy rubs and catnip when I finally got home and they in turn gave me snuggles. So, it all works out! Have a fabulous day and look out for a fun June weekend event coming up!!

For those who are having a rough time due to whatever circumstances - know there are people who love and care for you and are a quick call away wanting to help. Christmas is a bit different this year for a lot of people. We are in this whole thing together and together we will get through just about anything!
