The Palace City Jazz Festival is a non-competitive jazz festival centered around jazz education.

The Palace City Jazz Festival is run by the Mitchell High School Boosters group. This non-competitive festival is centered around the education of jazz. Each band receives 30 minutes on stage with 6 clinicians (1 woodwind specialist, 2 brass specialists, 3 rhythm specialists). Each band then gets 30 minutes off stage in a private one on one clinic with one of our clinicians. Our festival is usually held the second Tuesday of February (depending on calendar).

The evening concert is shaping up to be pretty amazing! You can get your tickets the night of the show in our box office of the MHS Performing Arts Center. Concert will feature our middle school jazz band, newly created Jazz 2 and MHS Jazz I featuring our guest artists below! Its always an amazing night!
