It was a great turnout at JVCC for our Annual After Holiday Party held January 9th with a vintage theme. Activities Coordinator, Kim Burg thanked all the sponsors including MANA (Mitchell Area Networking Assn.), Right At Home, AseraCare, Firesteel Healthcare Center, Einstein's and JVCC. Mitchell Barbershop Harmony Chorus took us back in time with selections. They also serenaded Kim, as this was her last day at the Center after 8 years. We played bingo, gave away door prizes and enjoyed refreshments. The winner of the quilt raffle was Terry Sabers! Thanks everyone for all your support.

You still have a chance to get a raffle ticket for this beautiful queen size quilt. The winning ticket will be drawn at our After-Holiday Party, next Thursday, January 9th beginning at 12:30 pm. You do not need to be present to win.

We enjoyed National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation during our Holiday Movie event today at JVCC along with our Cookie Exchange. It was fun enjoying sweet treats and popcorn while watching the movie! Plus having some to take home.

We are getting in the Holiday Spirit at JVCC! Thanks to everyone who helped decorate for the holidays at JVCC. It looks beautiful! Thanks also to 401 Create by LifeQuest for leading us in a Thanksgiving Craft Project. The candles and pumpkins are so cute!

We had some friendly competition for our Singles 8-Ball Pool Tournament today! Coming out on top after double elimination were 1st: Larry Stunes (left) 2nd: Dale Dalldorf (right) & 3rd Bill Rebensdorf (center). The public is always welcome!

The James Valley Community Center (JVCC) is a multi-generational community focal point for services and programs in Mitchell and the surrounding area. The JVCC is a City of Mitchell facility that is dedicated to providing participants with a variety of leisure, recreational, cultural and educational activities in a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment. JVCC membership is open to all adults 18 and older.

The JVCC is also home to the City of Mitchell’s Community Services programs. You will find the offices of Palace Transit, Mitchell Volunteer Program (MVP) and Adult Nutrition Meal Program at the JVCC.
