Ok here are the rules and weights for the March 15th, 2025, Folk Style Wrestling Tournament in Columbia, Mo.
Shirt is included with registration as long as you register before March 1st.
Registration cost is $40 per each competitor before March1st.
After March 1st, registration goes up to $50 per each competitor.

Folk-Style Wrestling Tournament Rules
1. Age Divisions
Competitors are grouped based on their age as of the day of the tournament. Age verification (e.g., birth certificate or ID) is required during registration.

Tiny Tykes 6 years and under
Pee-Wee 7–8 years
Bantam 9–10 years
Intermediate 11–13 years
High School (Varsity) 14–18 years*
Open Division 18–39 years**
Over 40 40+ years**
Notes:
*High School division participants must not have graduated from high school.
**Open Division and Over 40 participants are grouped by skill level and weight class.
2. Weight Classes
Weight classes vary depending on the age division. Athletes must weigh in on the day of the event.

Note: HWT classes may be split into additional brackets if registration allows.
3. Skill Levels
Competitors will be grouped into skill levels to promote fair competition.
Level Description
Beginner 0–2 years of experience, limited tournament exposure.
Intermediate 2–4 years of experience, moderate tournament exposure.
Advanced 4+ years of experience, frequent tournament participation.
Notes:
Skill level placement is based on self-assessment during registration but is subject to verification by tournament officials.
Coaches or referees can request reclassification if a competitor’s skill level is significantly mismatched.
4. Match Rules
Match duration:
Tiny Tykes & Pee-Wee: Three 1-minute periods
Bantam & Intermediate: Three 1.5-minute periods
Older Divisions: Three 2-minute periods
Standard folk-style wrestling rules apply (e.g., scoring, takedowns, near falls).
Sudden victory overtime in the case of a tie.
5. Additional Guidelines
Weigh-Ins: Conducted 1–2 hours before the tournament starts. Wrestlers must compete at the weight class they register for.
Equipment: Wrestlers must wear singlets or shorts and top rash guard, wrestling shoes, and optional headgear (mandatory for ages 14 and under).
MALE AND FEMAKE DIVISIONS
Awards: Medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each weight class and skill level.
