19 years between these 2 photos...I've always had a love for my camera and being the tool that lets me capture what I feel, see and imagine. But it's just the tool. What I love most is what's on the other side of my camera- and the importance I have always felt to capture those feelings and moments. You all have been my muse, my why. I love getting to be alongside you for all your life's moments and the bonus is, I have a camera, but it's always been about you. I hope you all have felt that connection and the love I have for each and every one of you that have allowed me to photograph you.

I also look back on the first photo and know how insecure I was in my photography because of what people had to say....say about my style of photography at the time, how I could never make a living doing just photography etc...But here I am today proving them wrong. If you have a passion, I hope you push through the negativity one can face, and believe in yourself, because you truly can do whatever you set your mind to, and if you don't hear it from anyone else, you're hearing it from me!

Happy Wednesday! I am loving all the back to school posts the last few weeks! Seriously the cutest few weeks on social media!

September is here and that means busy season for photographers! I have very few Friday-Sunday days left between now and Christmas, but I do also offer weeknight sessions as well for those that can do that! Mornings any day of the week is also an option for those with little ones that might prefer that morning happy hour :) So, reach out if you want to plan your fall session! No idea or location is off limits! Let's get to planning!

August: 31st
September: 1st, 6th, 20th, 28th
October: 4th,
November: 15th, 16th, 22nd, 23rd, 27th/29th (Day before and after Thanksgiving), 30th
December: 14th, 15th, 21st, 22nd

I do have weeknights open as well- but these are the last of the weekends for the rest of the year, so reach out ASAP to grab one of these :)

Moving into Fall Minis in a few weeks! I still have some dates that have open spots!

These are 10 minute mini sessions on October 13th at The Little Chapel at Haven Ridge in Winston. This Chapel has gorgeous European architecture, surrounded by beautiful fields. These are great for the entire family, just kids, just couples, Pets, seniors, sweet 16 (The options are endless with this spot!)

*I only have wedding images from this location, but these show the gorgeous chapel we will be using.

This year, I am celebrating 20 years of photography🥹😱 (This post is aging me🤣)

I was hired 20 years ago to photograph my first wedding, and from there I started my business. It was small, it was on the side while I finished photo school and moved around a bit...but I was always working towards building this dream. And here we are...TWENTY years later. It's wild.

Whether you are a new client this month or were hiring me 20 years ago.... I thank you...from the bottom of my heart. I absolutely love what I do.

When getting to know my clients, we chat about many things...Their first date, how they met, things they like to do together etc... Knowing their beginning helps me capture the rest of their story, and also helps us land on ideas for their engagement session.
This couple loves to read books in coffee shops together, so it felt like the perfect spot to get some sweet, personal photos of them.

Your sessions can be uniquely yours. Sentimental. Special. Personal.

1 year later...Finally posting some of these! 🤩

Get yourself a friend that will run up a dune, towards a storm, just to catch this light. Some of you might know Amy as my longtime Second shooter at weddings...she's one of the best photographers I know...but she's also a dear friend that is one of the few creatives that 'get' me, and our creative brains work in similar ways. We have created a lot together over the years and I love when we can let loose and create something that we've brainstormed and planned for a while...It never goes to plan but we always make something fun and cool with it. She's one of the few people I know that will run as fast as she can, uphill, through sand, and towards lightning for 'THE SHOT'⭐️⚡️

I have been seeing some really amazing and thoughtful wedding touches lately and I wanted to share another one with you🤍

K. Tracy Designs was set up at Julia and Tylers Reception and was doing live guest portraits- which was the wedding guest favor that the guests could take home with them. I thought this was so thoughtful, sweet and personal. Such a neat idea 🥰 Even us photographers got one. I absolutely love it!
