This is a very special post I’d like to share to honor my grandparents 74th wedding anniversary coming up September 11th. The reason people in the world believe in true love❤️ Grab a tissue. 🤧😭
My grandfather singing to his bride celebrating 70 years together, breaking into tears as he sings of "happiness that would never end." It is a moment so tender and full of love that I have to share.
It is a sentiment that people hope to believe in and I have been able to not only witness their pure love and strength, but to be raised knowing it is possible and true. ❤️
...Married for 74 years....that means every morning and every night for 74 years you wake up and fall asleep holding hands no matter what the day was to bring ...or to take away. The loss of their son, the birth of their first grandchild, the weddings of their children and grandchildren with vows rooted in their own love to grow from. They have held each other's hands through their first dates at the movies, to saying their “I Do’s” at the altar, and every day since then. ❤️
They are our rock. Their love, the foundation for our beautiful and ever growing family.. and so respected and admired by everyone who has the privilege of meeting them. ❤️
He, a WW2 Navy Veteran, always having the love of his sweetheart to inspire his fight and love for life. Then my Grandmother, the pillar of strength that brought 8 children into the world and managed to match every witty remark with an even better one. They taught us that no love is great without being matched with laughter and play.
❤️❤️ 8 children, 21 grandchildren and 14 great grand children, all thanks to 2 people who chose each other over and over again. ...Just as he sings it, if they could do it all over again, they wouldn't change a thing.

I know wedding planning, (life in general) is the most stressful thing sometimes but I hope everyone can play this, and listen to it- (it’s a bit low, so turn it up)
This is why you do it all! (And why I’ll always be shedding at least one tear a wedding!)
Yes there’s the beautiful centerpieces and venues and shoes and makeup- the dancing the booze, the covid drama, the worry...
But this is the true essence and reason why I do weddings... why my mother shot weddings.
I hope this is something that quite simply gives you an understanding of the family I’m from and the fact that we aren’t just hopeless romantics... well not for no good reason.. cuz we are all romantics.
We’ve seen the fairytale are whole lives! We are an amazing, giant, insanely hysterical, and insanely emotional, talented, ‘thick as thieves’ family..I can’t explain it one bit without tearing up! (Love you O’Connor clan!)

(I had to ask permission to share it and it took me two years to even explain but he was excited when I said maybe he could be on the news 😹.)
I’m sure every single family member could write the most wonderful tribute to them, so I’ll try my best to try my best to even touch the blessing they are.
