Due to the extreme heat expected this week, our farmstand will have limited hours to ensure our flowers are cool and happy. We will open at 9am and close the Farmstand at 12. Send us a message if you need to come later on in the day. We will just keep them in the cooler for you.

Our late spring flowers are about to pop! Until then, our farmstand will be open Thurs, Friday and Saturday this week. We will resume Big Bouquet Tuesday asap.

Let’s talk about PEONIES!
We love them! We planted our first peonies in 2016. In zone 9b where we are, they should bloom from mid April to mid May. They fill in a huge need for us for flowers before our summer begin blooming. This past winter, the weather was very warm and we had just a few nights where the weather was at freezing or cooler. This warmer weather has greatly impacted our peony growth this year. The stems are shorter and the growth feels quite erratic. We are trying to preserve the peony plants health this year and need leave as many leaves on as possible. This means we will be cutting shorter stems for our peonies this season. The stems will be about 10” or even shorter.

This season for peonies feels like a setback for our flower farm. As we adjust, our Farmstand will be closed April 16th and April 17th. We will reopen on Thursday April 18th.

Our flowers and veggie plants will be at the Modesto Certified Farmers Market from 8 to1 on Saturday April 13th. Due to the expected rain, our farmstand will be closed today. We will not be attending the Turlock farmers Market today.
