Just in times for Valentine's Day. A literally sweet heart neckline and lace-up back. This was an awesome and challenging project for me. It turned out so lovely and the client LOVED it so much.

Hello everyone, I'm Micheala Sodomka, owner of MRSWeddings. I buy dresses that need love and rent/sell/donate them. I also do other wedding related services. Due to recently started ronnovations and a need for some new stock, I have decided to sell all the dresses I had for rent. Some of them have have been rented a few times, some have never been rented out, some have never even been worn and still have tags. It's sad to see them go, but I know they will go to good homes. I am willing to ship, but buyer must pay shipping. I am in the Augusta, GA area for anyone looking around the area. PM me for more pricing and details on dresses. All dresses will be dry cleaned and shipped in garment bags. As a side note, I can not donate anymore as I have already donated over 60 wedding and formal dresses back in October.

Had the best time this weekend with these two lovely folks, Devin Bell and Sterling Thornton! We went to a Bridal Convention and had a great time. We were able to narrow down what they wanted their tables and decor to look like! I'm so excited to do mock-ups of tables!

Got the Bride and Groom's POV from the meeting. I love receiving pictures like this! It's just great to see my products through the eyes of another. Sterling Thornton and Devin Bell are the best friends and clients!
Note: For anyone wondering what SoDenCash is, it's a mix of family names that were at Thanksgiving together. Pretty cool that my painted sign lasted this long!

Had a meeting yesterday with the soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. Bell! I showed them some designs I came up with and got their opinions. We then sat for 2 hours and planned their wedding and discussed priorities, budget, venues, what limits we had, alterations, flowers, decorations and designs, and even how they wanted to walk down the isle. I'm excited to accompany the Bride to a Bridal Show next Sunday and continue to discuss and plan with them. This is going to be an extremely fun event and I can't wait to plan and decorate for them! Thank you Sterling and Devin for choosing MRSWeddings! I look forward to seeing you again soon.

I can do alterations as well! This dress needed to be let out, so I added a lace-up corset back. I hand made all the corset loops, sewed the modesty panel, and then put it all together. Alterations can be a time consuming process. I was able to start and finish this project in 4 days. I picked the dress up on the 12/29, started on the 12/30, and finished by the 1/2. I even left plenty of time for any other alterations it may have needed since the dress was needed by 1/7.

I got to make another sign for a graduate. I got the call that one was needed just 3 hours before the photoshoot, and it needed to be delivered. So I got it done in an hour and delivered it. Not only that, but I got to stay and help the photographer as well, which is something I enjoy doing. We got the graduate to smile a lot and enjoy the session.
With only an hour to do it, I decided to only do just the boarder and leave the middle open. The graduate was able to put her face in the middle when the back panel was removed. It was a great idea that turned into a great time saver. Even with a super short time frame, I was able to come up with an idea, get it done, and ready to be used.

Need something last minute? Not a problem! I had Boundless Photography Augusta come to me with a last minute request for a graduate. She wanted a rustic looking sign for graduation pictures. I got home after work at 6:30pm and got to work. I am still working on it while this is being posted at 1am. I freehanded the whole thing and am cleaning up all the lines. I drop it off at 6am to the graduate and Carrie, the photographer, in downtown Augusta, GA. More photos to come of the sign completely done, and with the graduate!

A pop of color is always a nice touch. This is a bouquet I made. I'm working right now towards getting a certification in floral arranging. Because I'm learning, I thought I would share some things I have learned so far.
This is known as a bright bouquet. Bright bouquets match Preppy themed weddings, which are brightly colored. Preppy themed weddings can use pinks, reds, yellows, or any bright color you can think of. These themes and bouquets are great for spring and summer weddings. They have such brilliant colors and make a fun and bold statement.
This dress is also for sale.

I recently went to The House of the Bride again on the 27th to donate more dresses! Make sure you donate to them before the end of November. A Night To Shine is a wonderful event and you can make it better by donating your old dresses. Go out there and make some dreams come true!

Did you know I now have wedding dresses for sale? I seek out used dresses that need some love. I professionally clean and fix them. Then I sell them at a lower cost than what they were originally worth. Some dresses haven't even made it down the aisle. I am proud to say that I will make sure a bride finds her gown and it makes it down the aisle.

Yesterday we went out and donated some dresses to The House of the Bride for A Night to Shine. This was just the first haul, over the next couple of weeks I will be giving almost all of the dresses I have away.
Why do I have so many dresses and why are there a couple of wedding dresses in the mix? I do alterations and make dresses. A lot of these dresses I bought to practice on. I also had a lot from my years as a Music Major in college. I have a degree and perform at weddings as well. And of course, some of these were from weddings I was in as well.
If you have dresses that are cluttering your closet, donate them to The House of the Bride before the end on October 28th.
