This story is not about our family but it shows how the smallest story is important. With the losses we have suffered maybe we can share memories, here for later generations to read and know their family stories.... what you gossiped about at Christmas dinner... 😆 that could get juicy... any ways please share a story of life as a kountz. This dog's name was Gunner. My uncle brought him back from WW2. He was raised and slept under my uncle's anti- aircraft gun. The gun crew shared their
rations to feed him. By the time he was 18 months old, my uncle said he would stand up and look at the sky. If he laid back down they knew all was ok. If he growled
and put his hackles up they got at the ready. He knew the sound of the German aircraft and my uncle said he
never got it wrong. He said Gunner was better than any early warning system. I'm probably the only one left in the family that knows that story now, so I thought I'd tell it before it's lost forever, like many stories must be from that time. Thanks for reading it

Good morning! I can see people checking out the page. I have been looking for a host for months and unfortunately at this time we have no one interested... I can't do it alone as I live 150 miles away. So maybe next year. For the people we lose this year, sending all the love and will cherish the memories we have. If anyone is willing to help for next year step up sometime soon. Thanks

Looking for a host!!! Please reach out or share with someone who may be interested!!! Really hoping to have a reunion, but it needs to start being put together now to get reservations. Weather that be a day use area or camping... fingers crossed!

Hello! It's that time of the year! I am looking for hosts.

1. I need someone to look into and reserve a spot for the family reunion. If camping is happening, I buy 8 spots. People can share, 6 people per site. Runs about $180, 2 years ago. The group day use are is another 150 plus a deposit. You can rent baseball field for another fee. So about $330 total.

2. Who wants to be in charge of food? I normally spend $300 on burgers/drinks, propane, plates, utensils ect..... Get an idea of who will be bringing potluck items... I live to far away to pack it all in again. My potluck item will be pulled pork sliders.

3. Who wants to plan games? Bingo, baseball/kickball? With this comes prizes... 100 bucks or so. Kids stuff, teen stuff, adult items...

4. Who wants to reach out to the family members that might not be a part of the group? Help spread the word?

We really don't have much time so let me know if we can make this happen! Sending love, Stephanie
