20th Paws In The Park Invites Dogs to the Fairgrounds
Join us for Bond County Humane Societyâs biggest fundraiser and annual celebration, âPaws in the Park,â taking place on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Bond County Fairgrounds in Greenville, Illinois; held in conjunction with the Bond County Fair Associationâs Fall Festival, which runs from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
**WEATHER NOTE - It's going to rain, but a lot of our booths are under a roof. If dangerous storm conditions develop, some events may be canceled.
This year marks the 20th edition of this beloved community event, promising a fun-filled day with activities for everyone! Bring your friendly, leashed dog along with the kids and grandkids for a day of camaraderie with fellow pet lovers and their furry companions.
Attendees can look forward to a variety of engaging events, including:
- Dog Contests featuring a Costume Parade @ 11:15 am, Fastest Pie Eating, Fastest Fetch, Best Trick(s), Best Kisser, Best Howler, & Longest Down (Contest registration will begin at 10:30 am. Skills Contests to begin at 12:30 pm.)
- Voting for the Cutest Pet Photo Contest (let the donations do the talking!)
- Family Pet Photos and a Selfie Picture Station
- A Silent Auction, Booze Barrel Raffle, and a 50/50 Raffle
- Food Vendors offering delicious treats, and much more!
- A Dog Art Booth (Lick Painting!)
- A Health & Wellness Booth by EponaVet
- EponaVet's "Boneyard Bash" featuring a live horse painted with an anatomical skeleton, paw print decorating with Mudslide Pottery Studio, and MORE! (Additional EponaVet activities start Saturday at 9 am, including a ferrier demonstrating horseshoeing!)
Most importantly, âPaws in the Parkâ serves as a critical fundraising event for Bond County Humane Society, furthering its mission caring for temporarily homeless dogs and cats in our community until a permanent, loving home can be found for them. In addition, âPaws in the Parkâ will be held in conjunction with the Bond County Fair Associationâs Fall Festival, which runs from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The festival offers even more family-friendly activities, including hayrides, a vendor show, a petting zoo, a Shriners Car Show, and bounce houses. Thereâs something for everyone!
