🎁⛄️FREE to those in need⛄️🎁

We intended to sell Christmas trees at Wind Vineyards at Smith Mountain Lake this year but were unable to do so. ☹️ BUT, we still wanted to do the most fun part of selling Christmas trees—giving them away to those in need!

My mother taught me at a young age that the cure for all unhappiness in life is to DO SOMETHING NICE FOR SOMEONE ELSE, and there is no better time to do that than during the Christmas season! We do not profit off our Christmas trees—we spread Christmas cheer, create a Hallmark movie tree lot experience, sell enough to keep our head above the water and give them away to those who appreciate them the most!

If you are or know of a family—especially one with young kids—who cannot afford a real Christmas tree please send us a message. It would be a blessing to us to help enhance the Christmas season for them and their kids.

LASTLY, many of you have about buying wine, Wind Vineyards merchandise, and Walking Tall Monster Truck toys for presents. We are honored! Stay tuned for a post about how you can share some Wind Vineyards SML with your loved ones this year!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Get out there and do something nice for someone else! 🎅MERRY CHRISTMAS!🎅

PS-Please note that we want to first serve those who “can’t afford” a tree, which is not to be confused with “don’t want” to pay for a tree! We don’t “like” to spend money either, but our goal is for these trees to make it to those who truly are in need.

Maybe next year Cousin Eddie & the Griswold’s will visit Wind Vineyards at Smith Mountain Lake just like Wind Vineyards at Laurel Grove! 😬

We were hoping to do Christmas events here but our access issues have prevented them—rest assured Christmas at SML in 2025 will be MUCH more exciting!

🎅🎄🎁Sawyer braved the ❄️⛄️wintry elements⛄️❄️ in the mountains to get some amazing CHRISTMAS TREES!

He is very disappointed that circumstances will not allow us to sell them at Wind Vineyards at Smith Mountain Lake this year but promises our famous 🍷🎄WINE & TREES🎄🍷 deals will be available in 2025!

‼️ALSO‼️
Plans are underway to plant seedlings this spring on our farm for a 🎄CHOOSE & CUT🎄 experience! You will quickly find that no one loves Christmas more than we do and there will be countless magical events and experiences coming!

Lastly, many of you have asked about wine & Walking Tall Monster Truck toys for Christmas presents—we do have everything here. Stay tuned for a post on how to order!

This awesome Bordeaux white blend will be available to our friends at SML very soon!

2024 ASWA Gold Medal Winner: 2022 Bord Blanc by Wind Vineyards at Laurel Grove, VA. Bordeaux whites are truly underappreciated but the vintners at Wind Vineyards took a chance on these grapes. From their initial vineyard blocks planted in 2018, this 60% semillon/40% sauvignon blanc is fat on the palate. A pleasant hint of oak enhances the floral notes that intermingle with refreshing grapefruit tones.

We just made the trip to visit our Amish friends in the NNK who are busy milling us truckloads of 10x10 beams 42 feet long!

The first load will be coming to the lake soon so construction may start on our tasting room, restaurant, and event center! We have an amazing post and beam style building planned and built by Amish Barns of Virginia!

We have our work cut out for us this winter but will be hustling to serve you in 2025!
