Are you kidding?! How we managed to snag such perfect weather for the middle of February is a question I'm not going to dwell on because I'm obsessed with this session and this couple. Their story is one of waiting, healing, and finally finding their way to one another. 🧡 I'm so excited for them and their wedding in May!

Several years ago, I traveled to Kansas to photograph the Potusek clan. I recently got the chance to go back, and the family has expanded significantly! 💛 The drive is always worth it because this family is full of some of the kindest and sweetest people I've had the chance to work with. Wrapping up and sending out my first round of mini sessions this morning! While the sun was sparkling and beautiful, it was a tad bit gusty, but you can barely tell in the final results. 💨☀️ Thank you again to everyone who came out!

Taking a break from editing fall minis to work on this absolutely precious newborn shoot with little Reese. I left Garrett and Courtney's with house envy and baby fever. 😍 I can't wait to share more!

It's rare that I post more than a few previews at a time, so this session might have to be my first exception. 🌻

To be honest, I was nervous for this session. Before sessions, I often feel anxious and question everything: Will the lighting be good enough? Will the location be pretty enough? Will the if the client think I'm absolutely the weirdest person they have ever met? The latter is probably always true (Allyson can probably vouch for me since I have her in class again this year 😜). But none of my other fears seem to matter by the time I'm in my editor and grinning so big my mouth hurts. I mean, DANG. 🤯

It's senior season, and this one is an absolute beauty! We endured freezing creek temps and a giant spider for these, but it was all worth it. Can't wait to see what's in store for my next session with Allyson!

Back in May, I had the honor and privilege of photographing a very special couple for their anniversary, my aunt and uncle, John and Janice Stricklin. I can't put into words what a special couple they are. These two have endured a lot together over the last 50 years, but they have prevailed and loved every step of the way. I am blessed to call them family. ❤️
