Juli and Chris gave me so much great footage to work with for their wedding highlight, not just because they and their wedding was great, but because we actually shot two weddings for them! Well, 1 and 2/3rds if we’re being exact. Juli and Chris had the epitome of a Covid wedding.
Originally scheduled for Halloween of 2020, Juli and Chris wanted all their friends to celebrate with them, but they also didn’t want to wait another year to be married so they decided to get married in front of their family and then have a vow renewal a year (and 6 days) later and a big party that everyone could come to. This way they would get the best of both worlds!
For me, coming up with a way to
blend two very different yet very similar days into a highlight was a bit tough, but the end result is a perfect summary of weddings during the time of Covid, and more importantly than that, it’s a perfect showing of the love these two have for each other along with their family and friends.
Both days were great, both ceremonies lead by the same priest (who is the best we’ve ever worked with!) were beautiful. Both times getting ready was filled with a lot of laughs and the reception, an extra year in the making was unbelievable!
Both days were just perfect for such a perfect couple. I’m glad we were able to be there for both of the days and I’m glad we got to witness the marriage of these two wonderful people! Enjoy their highlight film!

Cat and Mike's Highlight Film
Sometimes the weather just doesn't cooperate. The forecast was all over the map on Cat and Mike's wedding day - possible showers, possible sun, either way we were pushing to have their ceremony outside, waterfront at the beautiful Owenego Inn and Beach Club in Branford. As guests started arriving, the wind and rain picked up a bit and unfortunately the last second decision was made to move the ceremony inside. The staff at the Owenego did a fantastic job transforming the dance floor into the ceremony site and Mike and his groomsman grabbed the arbor Mike made by hand from the outside to set up inside as well. Everything looked beautiful. After a beautiful ceremony with heartfelt written vows, Mike, Cat and their family and friends danced the night away.
Sure the weather didn't cooperate, but at the end of the day, Mike and Cat still had a spectacular wedding day and wonderful start to a very happy life together!
Special thanks to Abigail Scott Photography for being so great to work with!
Kelly + Mike's Highlight Film // Greathorse, Hampden MA.
We've done many weddings with a first look but we have never done one with a first touch, until Kelly and Mike's wedding!
What is a first touch you ask? It's a sweet moment where the couple still don't see each other before the ceremony but they can reach out and hold each others hands and chat and in some instances read a note to each other like Kelly and Mike did. It's a great way to ease some nerves while still holding on to the surprise of seeing each other down the aisle for the first time.
Kelly and Mike's whole day was at GreatHorse in Hampden, MA which is such a beautiful property! Pink Olive Events did such an amazing job with all the planning and decor, they made this already gorgeous place even more spectacular and the organization (and an amazing couple) made our day so easy!
It was so sweet to see Kelly and Mike and their families and friends interact with their son who did so good with so many people watching him! When my son was around their son's age and he was a ring bearer we had to bribe him with a fire truck to get down the aisle which he then ran down screaming I want my fire truck the whole way - their son did amazing!
Special shout out to JHumphries Photography, LLC and CNT Entertainment for being so great to work with and making the day full of laughs, great photos and great music!

Gabi + Jack // Highlight Film
The weather in most of July was brutal. There was lots of rain and lots of humidity. Every wedding day seemed to be a toss up on if the weather would cooperate or not. Luckily for Gabi and Jack they hit the July weather lottery! It was PERFECT out - no rain and not too hot, not to mention their venue being Eolia Mansion at Harkness Memorial Park where there's a beautiful breeze coming in from the ocean right on to mansion's patio where majority of the reception took place. You couldn't have asked for a better day, location and couple!
We had such a great time with this amazing couple and their wonderful family and friends. The love they have for each other just shines through in their highlight film! What a perfect day!
Congratulations Gabi and Jack, enjoy your highlight film!

You don't need fireworks on the 4th of July when there are FIREWORKS!
You don't need fireworks on the 4th of July to have FIREWORKS! Carmen and Chris started as high school sweethearts and many years later and many amazing memories later, on the 4th of July they were married!
While there weren't any traditional fireworks, the two of them had this amazing spark all day and the energy from them and their family and friends was electric! The dance floor was packed all night and everyone was having so much fun!
The band was PHENOMENAL (Hank Lane - Octane) and as always the venue, Le Chateau was perfect! Special thanks to Shades' Shutters Photography for always being amazing to work with!
Witness these fireworks for yourself in their beautiful wedding highlight film!

1,296,000 Minutes
77,760,000 Seconds...1,296,000 Minutes... 21,600 Hours... 900 days. It reads just like the song 'Seasons of Love' from the broadway show Rent, but this is the exact time Lindsey and Ben had to wait to get married. After two moved dates and countless changes and set backs, they finally arrived at the day they had been waiting for, for nearly 3 years, their wedding day and it was definitely worth the wait!
After all of this time it was so amazing to see such a great couple finally get to call each other husband and wife and to see the amount of love all their friends and families had to shower them with.
If there is one great thing to come out from all of these delays, it's stronger bonds and weddings just beaming with love - not that they normally aren't, but when you haven't seen people in so long and your hopes for your wedding date are dashed twice - you're going to make the absolute best of the day when it comes and that's exactly what Lindsey and Ben did! There was so much love and so much fun and I am just thankful to have been able to be a part of it and to be able to create a highlight film that bottles up even just a tiny portion of the energy and love of the day!
Congratulations Lindsey and Ben! Enjoy the highlight of your perfect day!

We Beat the Rain! A beautiful Mystic, CT Wedding.
Emily and Luke were originally supposed to get married last May but due to the pandemic they decided to move their wedding.
After a year of waiting and 2 changed dates, all you can hope for is the perfect weather, but sadly that's not the way things work out always.
When we arrived in Mystic to film Emily and Luke getting ready, it was grey outside. The weather forecasts all said rain was on the way and it seemed like our beautiful waterfront outdoor ceremony was going to have to head inside under a tent. Most of the time when this happens, our couples are a bit upset and rightfully so, but not Emily and Luke! They were just so happy to be there, getting married to their soulmate and being with all of their closest family and friends - rain wasn't going to interrupt their perfect day!
After preparations, we headed to Latitude 41 by Coastal Gourmet Catering (so amazing!) right on the dock on the seaport to do their first look. Just then the clouds shifted and sunlight was pouring through! There was still a threat for rain, but for now, we were safe. Emily and Luke saw each other for the first time where we got some great footage and the amazing photographers, Vicki + Erik Photographers took them all along the seaport for some stunning portraits!
With the clouds rolling back in, the ceremony was still a go for outside. Officiated by their friend (and groomsman), it was perfect. Short and sweet and just beautiful. As Emily and Luke shared their first kiss as husband and wife and made their way back up the aisle, a few drops of rain started landing. The timing was impeccable. All the guests made it under the tent before the rain really picked up and at that point, the rain only added to the beauty of the day being under the tent on the water for the reception.
Once the party hit, it was non stop dancing for Emily, Luke and all of their guests, with some heartfelt, yet funny toasts sprinkled in. Their day was the perfect mix of energy, fun, tears (happy) and love! I
I was so excited to be back filming, I couldn’t wait to put together a little instapeek for Nicole and Matt’s wedding. With such a great couple and amazing team of wedding pros, the day was perfection. I cannot wait to share the full highlight, but for now enjoy this little sneak peek!
