We’re excited to announce our latest two-artist exhibition, Where We Wander, by the talented Deborah Brown and Joanna Lothers.

Deborah Brown was born in Ontario, Canada. She is not only an artist, but a teacher of art and English. She enjoys working in her favorite media; pastels. Her appreciation of pastel comes from exploring the unique qualities of the media: the purity of the material, the directness of the application and the brilliance of the color.

Joanna Lothers grew up in Lancaster, SC. She received her BA in Painting & Drawing from Anderson University. Her preferred media is oil and watercolor. Joanna uses plein-air studies, to translate her perception into something new that becomes part of her viewers’ understanding of the world. Each painting is a small point of connection. It represents an experience that becomes richer as it is shared.

A Reception for Where We Wander will be held at the Dowd Center Theatre Gallery, on February 19th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. It’s open to the public, and light refreshments will be provided.

If you’re unable to attend the reception, don’t worry - the exhibit is running through April 9th. Stop by during the Dowd Center Theatre Gallery hours, to view this stunning exhibit.
