It’s been a hot minute, biz has slowed quite a bit since November. I put this decor together for mom’s “Baby in Bloom” shower at a cozy venue in Wallingford. Dream clients, wonderful to work for, I always do a little extra for those who are kind and gracious. Shout out to husband and friends who helped load in and load out on such a cold day/night. The decorating portion I LOVE! The clean up and heavy load lifting? 😬 not-so-much but all apart of the work to create a event. FYI, my venue price installations INCLUDE up to 8 tables covered and decorated. Venue packages are full background set up, guest eating tables decorated, gift side table, entry welcome sign all for $675. Most decorators start at $850 for backdrop only. I know a decorator who starting price is $1800. This is crazy to me, you can have a nice event and not overspend. Yes, decorating is a luxury item but it does not have to be extreme to be beautiful or make memories. I throw in my sound system and or bubbles machine and will hang lights if you are a great client! (No extra charge) manners are vital important to me. 🥰🎉

Not ready for the holiday Joy to end? Throw a snowpeep party! I wanted to do something for the tiny ones I love so I transformed my space to a crafty bouncy winter wonderland. YES! My most of my mini bounce house collection fits inside homes. (FYI I do rent them) This party had a full craft table, mini desserts for the kiddos and snowpeep cookie cutters to take home along with the crafts they made. We had a fluffy snowball game that was tossed around. Here’s the dealio for 2025. Things are going to be challenging for a while. Lots of folks including myself, my friends and family. It may be hard. Throw a party, it doesn’t have to be expensive. Learn from me. I am going to be changing my business model and teaching basic decor design and tricks in the new year and what it takes to have something professional looking yet not break the bank.

Children deserve to be celebrated. Life while we have it deserves to be celebrated! My go to idea when dealing with something hard is to plan a party to lift your spirits. Some of my best and dynamic events have been under extreme duress. Long ago I threw a party to celebrate a bag of bone marrow being flow into a children’s oncology BMT unit to attempt to save a life. I have thrown a pirate themed funeral, I have thrown a craft party at a children’s hospital for parents in distress. I did an entire carnival for a little boy who was about to live in a hospital for months on end. I have decorated hospital rooms.

So whatever you or your loved ones face? Trust me on this…celebrate every breath you still have and NEVER let children go without creating some fantasy for them. It’s cruel. Life is hard enough, don’t disappoint children. Throw yourself or wee ones a small event. Everyone looks forward to JOY! 🥰🎉☃️

A enchanted forest hotel birthday party for a magical boy whom I love dearly. My grandson Salem. He got the very best celebration out of me that I could possibly deliver. It was such an extreme joy to plan and prepare for during the year. No detail was left out, everything had to match and I even slipped on the giant squirrel costume for pure silliness. His smile lights up my entire world.

My business pages are public and to protect the family, I cannot post all the fun photos I took but it was a glorious celebration for him and his parents. Love is love is love…..🥰🎉🐿️

Cute “Berry 1st Birthday” birthday party in Kirkland yesterday. Parents were both a complete joy to work for. Mom wanted a simple set up that fit in her budget and could be done in two hours time. Yes! I can do a home party backdrop at a venue and drop the cost of table decor. This is a great example. I am very flexible and can accommodate many outcomes.

*I am no longer going to post cute babies or families without expressed consent from family. My business fb is public. My business is committed to keeping families/identities safe on social media. This country is radically changing come January 20th and I will protect vulnerable people. Thanks for understanding. 😊

I love Diwali celebrations. Diwali is a Hindu holiday that symbolizes light over darkness and good over evil. It is decorated with vibrant colors and twinkling lights everywhere. This year I was going to do it very big but after last Tuesday night? I was wondering if I could even get out of bed let alone throw a party. I am grief stricken and in deep mourning for the country I thought I had. After two days of crying I decided that THIS celebration IS the one I should embrace. I cannot dim my own light and let darkness win over me. 🥹

I put on a small dinner, got out my beautiful treasures from Rhajistan from my trip, gathered some chosen family and enjoyed the simple pleasure of being with a few I love.

I want to thank all of those who have hired me this year. Your trust in my business has allowed me to keep going, pay my overhead bills and helped financially support a young family. I don’t forget those who care.

We are all headed into a dark time. BE. THE. LIGHT. Just know that my small business supports immigrant families however they arrived here. I always have and I always will. I am a feminist, I support women’s rights to chose what they do with their bodies. I am a FIERCE supporter of the LGBTQ community. I am a democratic liberal and I am proud of it.

Business owners big or small have a voice in communities. Know where you put your dollars and what it is going to. Be aware. Prepare your families for what will change in this country. We have only 70 days to get ready for some monumental changes.

I remain steadfast in my convictions for the greater good of humanity. I refute those who chose exclusive rather than inclusive. I question those who remain in the shadows. Money is not everything to me. Freedom and justice FOR ALL is my value system and you as a consumer should know where I stand before you hire me. 👦🏽🏳️‍🌈🇮🇳🇲🇽💖🙋‍♀️

Happy HALLOWEEN! It’s one of my favorite times of year. I threw my grandkids a cute monster party last night. Themed inside and out; cuteness factor high! I don’t like scary decor at all. I keep it light and fun for the littles. 👦🏽🎃👻 A tiny lil’ crabby traveled from Olympia for a visit. I had to put up my newest bouncy house for the babies!

I had the pleasure yesterday of helping my BF put on THE CUTEST first year old birthday party for her FIRST grandchild! Lil’ Tatum had all the bells and whistles a baby girl could have. It was truly a family affair as Grandma put on buffet, craft tables, made the darling ghost centerpieces, gathered cute supplies, uncle made smash cake, aunt made matching pretzel treats, mom inflated balloons and designed cake. Myself and G’ma gathered props from my storage unit and I assembled background photo area. Everyone showed up! What a crowd! So much love and support for this tiny girl. 🥰

I love how unique this theme is. I love working on events that are different and creative. This was just adorable in every way.

What a thrill to do something different! Here is a twist on a “wild ONE” party that Avy’s mother and I came up with!

When she contacted me she requested a jungle party. I told her that most Indian moms want this for their sons and it was common place. She said her son loved animals. I said let’s get creative and do a Halloween party with animals. She didn’t want to do spooky decor or blacks so she sent me photo of a Autum hoop. Together we came up with concept and I sent her sketch. I think it turned out fantastic and I LOVE the colors with the animals! Good communication, trust and compromise creates great results!

Starry baby shower for beautiful couple last night! The best part of my job is not only getting to create but meeting these loving groups of family and friends.

I have never known such warm and welcoming culture as the clients I work for which are mainly Indians and south Asian. As I quietly rush around and work; I take in all the love they give each other. How much they support their adult children and tiny children about to be born. It’s magical to me. I appreciate it so much. More often than not I am included in some way. I am either given food, asked to stay or given a thank you gift or tip. They ARE the most loving, warm and welcoming culture I have ever experienced.

I live to create and I love what I do. I remember each and every party, the people I serve and the experience I had with the family. You are never forgotten by me. It is an honor and a privilege to be chosen to do your special events. THANK YOU. 💕💕💕💕💕

Pastel circus party for beautiful Svara and her sweet family and friends. This is the second event I have done for them! Dream clients they are….and I look forward to creating magic as they wish every year💕

This was an indoor/outdoor party at their home. Weather was perfect for combined fun. Shout out to my sidekick Deborah who scurries around and assists me in putting final touches on.

The carnival/circus theme has lots of parts and peices. It’s a combined party set up. Lots of planning and requires my assistant. No, it cannot be put up in an hour. This took 2 people, 3 hours to load in, set up and 2 hours to tear down. Included a ball pit, outdoor toys and all the trimmings.

Thank you Ayushi for always trusting me with your special events. Always a pleasure serving you and family. 😘 Trust is imperative with client/decorator relationships.

Challenge: do more Desi decor this year! I was feeling bad because I took a special trip to India to buy beautiful decor items. It was an expensive trip for me. I got Covid, I felt like I was going to die every time I got in vehicle and traveled and I fed way to many homeless dogs! It cost me over $500 just to ship things home. It all sits in boxes in my storage unit. I haven’t got a single Desi decor job since last January.

Rather than feeling sorry for myself; I contacted a producer of a huge Dandiya event in our town and VOLUNTEERED my services. I set up a Photo Booth for festival goings. It took me 5 1/2 hours to set up because the building was at least 85 degrees on a 90 degree day. I move very slow in the heat. It also took me forever to tear down as I had hundreds visit area.

It made me happy to do it. Why I love the Indian culture so much? It’s colorful, they celebrate everything! From what I have observed the Indian people have strong family bonds and they actually deeply love each other and are devoted to their families success. They are a very welcoming culture and I have been included in a vast amount of beloved family activities. I have several small Indian children that I love and adore. The food is phenomenal. The handy crafts of the culture amaze me. I love Punjabi music. Indian fathers are VERY involved with their children and it’s nice to see the moms are not stuck begging their husbands for help. Hinduism from what I have observed is not a cruel religion and people do not care or judge me if I am not Hindu. I have had so many positive experiences that outweigh the few negatives I have came across. I do feel love more often than not radiating from Indians and their culture. 💕

I just finished a super darling “lil’-hunny-is-on-the-way” party on a Seattle roof top! I love designing and helping clients and mama in wait! Custom made foam daisies and all the trimmings. 🐝🍯🧸

This was suppose to be a outdoor backyard event but we had to pivot last minute because of rain. I am always flexible and willing to go the extra mile for my awesome clients. Early morning drive to Seattle in the pouring rain for me! Turned out great even with the shortened time constraint.

Gentle reminder: holiday season is approaching fast! Book EARLY and allow for plenty of decor time as well as clean up. 😉
