About Friday night!!! Congratulations to Michelle and Ryan who were married at the beautiful Whittemore at the Vyne restaurant & bar in Middlebury. A Storybook Image was honored to be a part of this event with photography and ceremony video, plus wedding officiant and DJ services from our own Herman Olivera III. It was a full team effort and I can't wait to share the rest of our work soon! We had a BLAST at this wedding and loved getting to know this couple throughout the planning process (plus realized that we have so many hometown connections). CONGRATULATIONS Michelle and Ryan!!! Enjoy that amazing honeymoon!

I LOVED shooting with these now senior Masuk twins and their mom back in July! We were working against the clock and the clouds as we tracked a huge storm approaching us at Boothe Memorial Park in Stratford... but we got in plenty of great shots (and more).

SENIORS... there is still plenty of time to schedule your shoot this fall! We can customize a shoot in terms of location/materials/props based on your personality (or sports/hobbies/etc), or keep it very casual and simple. The most important first step is to get it on the calendar. 📅 📸 I look forward to working with you!

The Briggs ventured all around the Yale campus with me during their session last fall. You have no idea how excited I was when they agreed to take the short drive up to New Haven, as this is really one of my favorite places to shoot. There are so many unique nooks and crannies, and we really just scraped the surface. The campus setting was truly apropos considering their oldest is now just starting her freshman year of college across the country. Thank you to the Briggs Family!!!

Well, hello there ASI social media... it has been a while. It's that time a year again... my favorite season, FALL! Since I did a pretty horrible job posting images from my fall family sessions from last year (always want to be sure that my families get their cards out first), I decided to do a post today as a little recap to promote this years sessions. However, I have a problem... there are just too many pictures! I have just re-fallen in love with every session and every family from last year. I purposely did not schedule the "one after another mini sessions" last year to allow for more creativity within each family and definitely less stress when it came to the younger kids. It also allowed us to spread out the shooting locations for some more unique spots, many new for families who have been coming to me for years (thank you, thank you, thank you). This all being said, I will be sharing a few shots from some of last years sessions every few days to catch up a bit. Feel free to hold me to it!

I start with Karma's beautiful family session at Fairfield Hills. It was one of those days when the sky could open up at any second, but we got this whole shoot in and even had a rainbow sighting! Karma Aja Daigle

It's just about GRADUATION TIME, so be sure to capture those cap and gown memories with some professional shots! I'm loving the graduation shoots that I have done over the last week or so, and can't wait for the others that are coming up. These two shoots are still in "editing" mode, so there are many more pictures to come, but here is a quick sneak peak (you guys, I NEED to get better at sharing). These relaxed shoots can be for those graduating from preschool to a doctorate degree, and anything else in between!

After rescheduling twice due to rain, we took advantage of the ONE possible evening yesterday to capture some shots of the gorgeous Olivia, who is just about to turn 15 and celebrate her Quinceanera. Major props to her mom for literally carrying her around due to the foot injury/orthopedic boot Olivia is actually wearing under this dress. Thank goodness for long gowns! Many more pictures to come.

For those who noticed my "Where am I?" story from 5:30 this morning, the answer was Laurel Ridge Daffodil Fields up in the beautiful farmland area of Litchfield Connecticut. I discovered these rolling fields of so many varieties of daffodils just last year and it is truly one of my favorite places in CT.

I must say that going there for sunrise, and being the only person there... "magical" doesn't even begin to describe it. Sunrise in a beautiful location is meditative as it is, but being alone makes it even more calming and reflective (and adventurous at the same time if that makes sense).

It's past peak season, but there were still plenty of gorgeous flowers, stone walls, mama duck and her two babies, a wispy fog along the top of the water, and stunning colors that kept changing as the sun rose.

What a perfect start to the day.

It’s 2023!!! Happy New Year to our A Storybook Image friends and family! I hope that you had an amazing holiday season and had some rest and relaxation time. Now that everyone has gotten out their holiday cards (well, except me!) I can’t wait to finally start sharing more of the many great family pictures we took this fall. It was a whirlwind of a season, but I wouldn’t of had it any other way. As always, THANK YOU for all of your support in 2022… I have a feeling that there will be much excitement to come for ASI in 2023. ❤️

Many of us SAY how we want to start off the new year with fresh goals, plans and focus, and an updated headshot is really a perfect start of telling that story.
